  Cash, don't jinx me.  Chances are i'll never win but there's still a chance.  I don't live in LA anymore.  I live in NM.  And I very, very rarely buy scratch offs anyway.  All I play is Powerball and Mega Millions.

  Nope, it'll be payments.  We had 2 powerball winners last year that chose that.  Hooray for payments!

  And everyone else chose lump sum! The 2 PB losers are why MUSL changed the matrixes (and the annuity) last year, so that NO ONE would choose annual payments.

  They changed the matrix because 3 people were winning $30 million jackpots.

  If MUSL wanted everybody to choose annuity, there would not be a PB cash option. Then everybody would be playing Mega Millions.

  I don't understand.  Wouldn't they pay out less money for annual payments?  Wouldn't the winner just be getting their interest?

  Hahahaha!  If I won a truly life-changing jackpot, I'd set up the parameters for grants from my charitable trust, let the board of trustees tend to the details, and go back to my quilting.  No need to even think about a lottery again!
