I just tried a few minutes ago. I'm still getting declined too. Once again, my bank says that there is no record of my card getting declined. The last time I was able to successfully place an order was Dec. 30th.

The best I can say is try a different credit card. The fact is that these days anything related to gambling has very touchy credit card fraud prevention, so that's just a fact of life. The credit card I successfully used didn't work a month ago with their service, so that should give you an indication that these things change.
Chewie, your comment implies that somehow they don't want you to win, which is just preposterous. They run a great service, and lots of people were affected by their recent processing problem, which seems to have been largely, but not totally, fixed. Don't try to create some kind of conspiracy theory out of the problem with your credit card.

Who issued the card you used Todd, I had the same problem where the card company BOA stated no attempt was made to even charge the card which would be different then them declining it.

I'm afraid I am still getting declined as well. I'm trying all of my credit/debit cards and none of them worked. I also called all of my banks earlier in the week to ask if they had restrictions on PTS or any services like it and they said there were not such restrictions in place on any of my cards. So, I'm afraid this problem seems to be coming from PTS still not from their potential customers. Kind of frustrating when you're sitting here saying "HERE, TAKE MY MONEY!" and they can't seem to get a reliable credit card processor.

To their credit they already told me in an email that they are looking for alternative billing such as through firepay, neteller or some other 3rd party. I doubt it will be in time for this drawing but they should be fine for the next big pot.

My credit card is no where close to the problem, it is a problem PTS created and is not working fast enough to resolve. The problem has been going on for months. That is validated by the continiuous comments about declined credit cards. Why should the customer be required to keep joining multiple credit card companies to use PTS? Because PTS has problems, not the consumer. Because it is gambling? Nice try! They choose the way the billing is accompilshed, not the customer. They should be in business to provide a service, which in turn, provides a profit. When you deny the access, you eliminate the profit. Business 101. Pre-planning was deficient.
I am not trying to create a conspiracy, I am stating a fact. Any normal business, say Sprint or Verizon, would be going ballistics if a credit card expendtiures were being denied for month after month, that would be lose of profit. Money not making the bank is profit lost. Try renting a car, or making an airline reservation, and having American or Hertz tell you check back in a few days, maybe we'll accept your card, maybe we won't, if not try another one. They would be out of business in a month - why? Because it is poor business practice.
I don't need to fix my credit card, PTS needs to become reliable. Seven days a week, twenty four hours a day. They may be a reliable company, based on your recommendation, but it doesn't make a difference when they can't accept a valid credit card. Working for some, not working for others, is not what you build a business plan on.

Lottery Post members: has anyone aside from Todd been able to successfully place an order w/ PTS?
Chewie, while I share your frustration, it does appear that PTS is trying to remedy the situation. What you've mentioned is true, though. Not just for the past 2 weeks, but rather for the last 2-3 mos. they have been having these credit card decline issues. The difference is, when it would happen in the past few mos. I would go back a few mins later and the card would work. Not so, the last two weeks. I've tried day or night for the last two weeks. No luck.
I think we need to keep in mind that they are not some massive multi-billion dollar corporation like the companies you mentioned in your post. They hardly have the kinds of resources those companies would have in such a situation.
However, I do hope that they are taking all of these comments we are emailing them seriously. They need to drop the company that is providing them with the credit card processing and find a more reliable service. Sure, they provide the best, most convenient and most affordable lottery service online, but if potential customers can't access it for weeks on end, they could permanently lose customers.
I hope they get their act together soon, but let's give them the benefit of the doubt and see if they will actually fix this problem once and for all.

It seems I was lucky to succeed earlier. Since then, nothing has worked as I tried some more times. I hope pts to solve any problem as soon as possible, no matter what it is.

This thread is now locked, and I deleted the last post, because I am not going to allow people to use Lottery Post to unfairly bash an excellent company like PTS. Somebody had made a good comment in one of these threads about how they are not a huge company like GM or Ford -- they are a small company providing a great service, and they do so without scamming people or ripping them off, unlike so many other outfits out there.
They have said repeatedly that they are seeking more payment methods in order to increase the number of people who can access their service, so eventually people who are having trouble today will be able to participate there. In the meantime, what exactly are you trying to do by ripping them a new one? Are you trying to damage them so much that even if they are successful in getting a new payment method in the future, they will no longer be around? How stupid is that?! Anyone throwing around the insults needs to stop being so selfish and childish with their temper tantrums.
If someone wants to go off and give their money to some rip-off site, then go for it. I just won't allow you to use the opporunity to rip on a quality company like PTS, and a company that supports this web site to boot.
