Okay, gang, I put my newest art piece I am working on in my Bloq. I created it using my Wacom tablet (a new Xmas present from Bill....I previously used an old, old, off brand one) and Photoshop. I then graph it out and drew it on Canvas and then paint it in oils. I am usually a landscape/marine artist but I really felt this picture and decided I wanted to paint it. Little abstract for me but about a month ago, I checked out a book by Georgia O'Keefe from the library and fell in love with her work......that encouraged me to try something new and different.......Bill can hardly wait till the painting is finished....that is why he is nagging me about being on LP so much. My mom, Jody and Bill are my biggest fans.....I got a story here......Jody and I stopped at the art store to pick up a couple tubes of paint......we were paying at the register.....and out of the clear blue sky, Jody tells the clerk, "she's really good"......I was so embarrassed......but I am glad my daughter is proud of me.
I do most of my landscape and marinescapes on Bryce 3D and then transfer it to Photoshop and do the finishing work there....then I graph it and put it on canvas. Jody got me a Grid Art program for Xmas this year and makes graphing (transferring to canvas) easier for me.
That's it.......just thought you all would like to know what I do. I also carve but haven't in a few years....due to the blood thinners I take. The doctor just gave me the okay because I am not on Coumadin anymore but on Plavix....different way it handles thinning the blood.....Plavix prevents clots more than thins the blood. I did numerous fish carvings. I may post those in my bloq also if I get the inclination to get the camera out and also a couple other paintings I have done.....or I just might put them on my home page.
