Depends on PB/MM or my state drawing.  The state is at 8:00 pm, so it is easy to check.  MM/PB, I am long in bed before the drawing.  My dog wants out at 6:00 am.  Too late to go back to bed.  So I need the beauty sleep before six o'clock roles around.  Besides, I would rather discover I am a millionaire after a good night sleep, then find out and get no sleep at all.

I only trust myself - and that's a questionable choice

Sometime in the next few days after a draw, I'll check on the web to see if there was a jackpot winner.  If yes, I'll check my numbers that day or I might wait another day or two if I'm busy.  If no jackpot winner, I often don't bother checking my numbers until there is one.  Last time, though, I did check my numbers even though the pot rolled over.  I believe I had numbers from six drawings to check, as I usually don't bother with MegaMillion tickets until the pot is at least $50 million.

I call either the CT Lottery or the NY Lottery the morning after the drawing. Mnnesota used to have a nationwide toll-free number.
