Can someone do the number conversion for me.  For ex:  3=8, 7=2

Do you mean this :

0 = 5

1 = 6

2 = 7

3 = 8

4 = 9    ???

But if you do only the mirror it gets you only half way there.  You need to do the total, and the total to the mirror to see all sides.  When you see a number actually it is 4 numbers at each end of the scale and have 19 numbers contained within it.  It's lottery math.

If you don't believe me look at the results from this weekend.  507 and 642 hit in the states.  057 returning.  It showed 750, 624 in my workout.  Both numbers turned on all sides hitting the states.  And that's just two examples. Not saying that 750 is the lead number but it lead the hits this weekend.  In the 750 rundown below the numbers in green are hits from this weekend.

If you use Exel you can convert a number quickly.

Using cell B1 to enter the number

enter into cell B2  =CHOOSE(B11+1,5,6,7,8,9,0,1,2,3,4)  for the mirror

enter into B3 =SUM(B1-9) for the total

Enter into B4 =SUM(B1-9) for the total to the mirror

 The Number A1 Mirrors A2 Totals A3 Totals to Mirrors A4
P.S.  I use it a lot with V-tracs and it is awesome.  The next time a V-trac is due, do this thingy.  Watch the board. You'll will be amazed.

Why is the Total, and the Total to the Mirror, the same formulas? When I put this in an Excel sheet, I get the same results for both.

Because they do the same thing but from different cells.  Make sure when you do the total for the original number that it is referencing that cell and when you do the total to the mirror it is referencing the mirror cell.  Some numbers the mirror and the totals are the same.

Sorry, I'm just seeing this post again today.  Let me know if you have any more questions.

I can send you the spreadsheet with it already done.  It is only 4 cells.

Excel Set-Up Steps

1.  In Cell A2 type in the Text "The Numbers"

2.  In Cell A4 type in the Text "The Mirrors"

3.  In Cell A6 type in the Text "The Totals"

4.  In Cell A8 type in the Text "Totals to Mirrors"

5.  In Cell B1 type in the Text "P1"  (Position 1)

6.  In Cell C1 type in the text "P2"  (Position 2)

7.  In Cell D1 type in the text "P3"  (Position 3)

8.  In Cell B2 enter a 7

9.  In Cell C2 enter a 5

10. In Cell D2 enter a 0

11. In Cell B4 enter the following formula: =CHOOSE(B2+1,5,6,7,8,9,0,1,2,3,4) Or use this formula: MOD(B2,5)+1)

12. In Cell C4 enter the following formula: =CHOOSE(C2+1,5,6,7,8,9,0,1,2,3,4) Or use this formula: MOD(C2,5)+1)

13. In Cell D4 enter the following formula: =CHOOSE(D2+1,5,6,7,8,9,0,1,2,3,4) Or use this formula: MOD(D2,5)+1)

14. In Cell B6 enter the following formula: =ABS(B2-9)

15. In Cell C6 enter the following formula: =ABS(C2-9)

Thank you for your formula Winsumloosesum.  But the formula that I gave works Simply. I choose the fewer lines because after working in Education for 15 years I've learned that anytime you are dealing with the public, write simple instuctions that the average never heard of it before person can understand, or the phone will be ringing off the hook.  Why make it complicated?

I've brainstormed in many meetings discussing how to word text because we knew that someone will miscontrue it.  We called it Idiot Proofing.  I don't know how many times I was called to troubleshoot a slide projector and all the person needed to do was push the power on button.  So again here is the simple formula.  Be advised that some numbers turn over to their mirrors but only a few. ex. 227,772.

Cell B1 is empty -it is where you enter the number

Cell B2 is =CHOOSE(B1+1,5,6,7,8,9,0,1,2,3,4) this is the mirror to the number

Cell B3 is =SUM(B1-9) this is the total to the number

Cell B4 is =SUM(B2-9) this is the total to the mirror

And it is best the lock the cells with the formulas.
