I just came back from NYC and I bought :

1: NYC's Pick 6 game

2. New Jersey's Pick 6 game and a couple of Match 5's. with multi draws

3. 3 months worth of Lucky for Life tickets from Pennslyvania and a couple of Power ball tickets both

4. Ohio's Lot O' play.

Any of you play lottery from different states while traveling?

When I travel I do purchase other tickets, but that isn't often.

Dance like no one is watching.

I sometimes pick up lottery tickets when I find myself in an unusual area. The last time I was in CT I think i won like $3 or something.

      Anyway good luck to you.

Buying other states lotteries is the highlight of any trip for me.

And you bought New York Lotto and 3 months worth of Lucky For Life. CASHOnly is going to harrass you for so long.

I load up in no tax states or no luck states and still lose millions

I always get some "foreign" tix when I travel.

Maybe I think the change of scenery will bring me luck or something..

My favorite scratchers are in SC, so I get me some of them at least weekly, as I'm less than 20 miles from there. My favorite game is  Carolina 5.    The jackpot is $100,000 taxes paid.

In addition, the SC lottery website keeps a very close watch on remaining jackpots out there, which I also appreciate.

You spend millions on lottery tickets? I think you may have a gambling problem.

NY Rotto is the biggest ripoff of any US lottery game. Unlucky for Life must be boycotted since there is NO cash option.

Lucky for Life or Win For life wouldn't be called that if they had Cash prizes....  $3,000 a month for the rest of yoru life seems awesome.  You won't have any money stress.

If you hit Unlucky for Life, you won't be able to retire. Even Lot O'Play is a better game, but not by much.

Jersey has a decent pick 5 game - although it is 40 numbers. When the (rolling) jackpot gets high enough, I sometimes head over and p/u a few tickets. The most I have won is 3/5 ($10) however.

The NY pick 5 game blows (gee big surprise) - no rolling jackpots. I have seen as many as 7 or 8 first prize winners for that game. Imagine finally nailing the big won and all you get is $5k (after taxes)

I have been calling for NY Take Five to be changed to a jackpot game. The NY Lottery doesn't seem to want player input. AFAIK game changes have to go through the state legislature. I wonder what Eliot Spitzer thinks of the lottery, as he'll be our next governor (Not so Faso, John LOL)
