Wouldn't tell anyone....ever (unless it was some mega jackpot inwhich case I would give most of it away)

If I did win, I think I might cry though!!!

Would wait to figure out what to do. Your first instinct would probably be to tell everyone but later you might regret it.
It would probably be best to wait for the intial shock and excitement to wear off before you did anything.

Need to be able to select multiple answers.  Would definitely keep it to myself,  try to stay calm, go immediately to a lawyer (which isn't one of the selections), and get to the lottery office ASAP if not sooner.  Of course it'll probably happen like this:  have a heart attack, call 911, go to the hospital ASAP is not sooner.  And then contact the ambulance driver to get back the winning ticket he happened to find under my body.

Only those who attempt the absurd can achieve the impossible.

I am that way all the time, so I know how I will react.

Of course, after verification I would tell my boss that I got something in my eye -  and I  CAN'T SEE WORKING THERE ANYMORE !!!!  Dance

It's a toss up between getting excited and being very nervous. I know I would go over the numbers over and over again. Wouldn't sleep. Visit the potty many times before telling someone.

                  Feeling,  PRICELESS!!!Banana

                    Other for me.

Before I claimed my prize I would take a picture while holding the ticket, photocopy it front and back, and then put it away. Then I would rent a house or apartment in a large city in the state I won it in. Set up the phone, bank, drivers license and utilities while still living and going about my business as usual in my hometown.

This way the announcement would say Jane Doe in Houston won the lottery. Not Jane Doe in Tinytown.

I will need advisers to set up trusts for minimizing taxes, directing charitable giving and estate planning. I have a very good Dr. who I would ask for help on finding these advisers.

These advisors would know if I need to sign my name on the winning ticket or sign the name of the corporation on it.

First the tax expert, then the investment adviser. Talk to the accountant or tax attorney to figure out what my tax options are and find out how much money I will end up with after taxes. After all of this is done, then I would claim my prize.

When I claim my prize, no press conferences, no pictures, no commercials. Folks my find out later that I was the winner but it would give me a head start out the door.

Whoa, that's all I can think of now.

Yeah, and there is always that disbelief factor. You know "Honey wake up! Come over and read the numbers on the screen and compare them to our ticket."

The best I've ever seen on this was a guy on the news who had won a huge Powerball Jackpot (or maybe Mega), this was a couple of years ago.

When asked what he was going to do, he told the reporter, "Look, it's going to take me at least a week to come back down to earth and realize what really happened, right now I'm still in a state of shock, a good one, but a state of shock."

This is a good question but you can't do just one of them, i would try to remain calm, i would wait a couple weeks before i did anything, i would try to go straight to the lottery place and claim the money before i told any family and friends about it.  i would also be very nervous and scared, just because thats such a big responsibility to have that much money and not blow it.

                               All of the above!!

I would first drop to my knees, throw my arms up and cry out "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I know I should do that anyway, but let's face it, I'm not perfect. Big Grin Angel Then I'd check the numbers over and over again on LP and the newspaper and the FL website (if it's up) and check the date on my calendar and go back online and check them again. I'd make sure I didn't have peanut butter and jelly on my fingers.

I also agree with the statement "I'd be very nervous and scared"  I mean, the way my head's been lately, I put my milk in the cupboard and find things I'm looking for in the trash. If I didn't have a remote alarm in my car, I'd still be walking around the parking lot at the market. So I'd guard that little piece of paper with my life and put it a small locked safe that's waterproof and fireproof. The only thing I can't figure out is how I'm going to hide that inside my bra while I drive to Tallahassee.
