Why would you play the lottery if you lived in Florida, its not even worth it to play.  you guys don't have mega millions or power ball and your lottery is pick 6 not 5+1, s even if you win the lottery there is a good chance that you have to split it with someone else.

Gee, if I won $14 million on Saturday and had to split it someone, that would be awful!  In fact, I'd be so upset that I'd tear up the darn ticket and burn it!

            Me too...

I would just hate to split $14 MM ... $7 MM would suck.

LMAO Justxploring.  Although I've always dreamed of hitting the "Big One",  I would be very happy with any prize I won.  A jackpot of $14million is a nice sized pot and still small enough not to gain you too much media attention.  And you would still net around what $5million?  I know Florida doesn't have state income tax so would you only have to pay only federal taxes?  Anyways I like playing the Florida lotto I think its one of the best state lotto games in the country.

By the way Justxploring did you get my PM??

just like that 100 million dollar jackpot.i would hate to split 100 million.that means i only get 50 million and quite frankly it just isn't worth it.if i can't get the 100 million then the other person can just have it all.after winning and finding out he got the other 50 million i would politely tell the lottery office they can just keep the 50 million i won.then i'll try on the next drawing to win my own jackpot.

All i was saying is that the florida lottery is not that great game compared to other state lotterys, not as many big jackpots and that are multiple winners for most of the jackpots(most of the big ones), so you don't gotta get all crazy about

I won't tell anyone until the money actually goes into my back account.

                        I voted 'other'

My first action would be to log onto LP and search around for an emoticon showing me beating myself with a hammer, slugging myself, barfing on myself, throwing water on myself, but without saying a word about the win.

Then I'd take a nap and log back on for a look at all the cheers and street dances, also in the form of emoticons.

I'd quietly log onto my Members Page, eliminate all the images stored there for my blog, wipe my hands on my dirty underwear, and forget LP.

                          LOL Rip Snorter

if i would win euromillions or such, i think i might consider buying your book.
Then i would express my thanks to DoubleDown, just for being him.

No, seriously, i would give plenty of it away, after it was in my bankaccount (or any other) for at least a year. So in fact i would be giving away a part of whatever the bank pays me to keep those euro's in there.
There would even be some LP members getting their share. Todd would suddenly have an extra sponsor for keeping this terrific site up and running.
And i'd probably be coding all day, when i'm not sitting on the beach of my own island, that is.

                          cheers
                          Ricky

@Rip: i would most likely buy one of your books each and every day!

Both worthy goals.  I hope we both win and have the opportunity to fulfill our stated goals.

But rather than buy the books, if you win (and I do also, which of course will happen) fly your private jet over to New Mexico for a look at some canyons money ain't big enough to buy.

As for my plans for LP if I won.  I think I'd send my agents to make Todd an offer to buy the site.  If he agreed to sell,  I'd hire Psychomodo to run it, then I'd forget it.

                            Thanks for the kind words.

perhaps i will hire someone who will then buy me tickets to the pick3 game there. Would be great to see those millions double up in a few weeks.
