# Pick 3 Strings!!

Okay, all you paper and pencil fans, get your tablets out because you have some homework to do!

For those of you who may have been watching my pick 5 strings, I decided to try them out for the pick 3 and they show some promising results! I'm giving my buddy Kola some credit here because he's the one who put "pick 3" and "strings" in the same sentence once that got me to thinking, so, thank you, Kola!

I will use last Wed's pick 3 drawing for CALIF. for this example:

It was 935.

Now we're going to make some strings!

Start with the 9 and write out the following numbers in order after it until you hit the 9. Do this with each number so that it will look like this:

0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

4 5 6 7 8 9 0 1 2 3

6 7 8 9 0 1 2 3 4 5

Now comes your homework. There are many patterns here but the trick is to stick with one of them to keep the cost down. Let's shoot out the next few drawings so I can show you what to look for.

948 (no hit there)

501---------------------  0 1 2 3 4 6 7 8 9

4 5 6 7 8 9 0 1 2 3       straight here

6 7 8 9 0 1 2 3 4 5

This is what I  call the "diamond pattern" because it can go either way. It could have just as easily been

581 if you had gone one over backwards. To have achieved this you probably would want to start with the 0 and played 056 and continued all down the line. \$10 worth. Not bad for a straight.

Again, we have a diamond  pattern though this one resulted in a box hit.

Another box hit. Straight up and down. This will happen often.

Another box. This is what I call the "2 Down Over", hence you go 2 numbers down and one over. There is also the "1 Down Over" where you would just take the 6 and play 613 instead. Look for both of these.

You can use the same strings for about 10 to 15 days and they will still produce hits I've found. Write out the strings and see what you find. Try it a dozen times or so on past results. See what pattern shows itself more often and stick to that one.

This is really frustrating. You can't really tell what I'm trying to show when it's all crooked because I haven't shifted it like that. Can anyone tell me how to post things so they line up correctly??? Much appreciated!!!

Here's a quick explanation of what is happening:

The "better" answer is that you should use tables to align text.  You start by inserting a table into your post with the Insert Table button  and then use the other toolbar buttons to the right of that one to configure it.  It will take some experimentation, but I'm sure if you devote a little time to it, you should become a table expert in no time, and then you'll have the best, most perfectly aligned posts on the forum!

Don't worry, I can get the jist of it even though it's crooked. This has happened to me also.

Great idea, wondering how it can be tweaked, but so far so good.

I'm gonna try this in Florida with the past 30 days and see.

How often do I need to change strings?. I'm gonna try changing them on a daily basis also and see if that works too.

Thanks for stopping in, Pac. Good to hear from you! Just make sure that all the lines are lined up even, that's all. As for tweaking around with this, go for it!! I find that the strings work for quite a few days but yes, try changing them daily also. I'll have to try that myself. But just like my pick 5 strings, they don't always hit right out of the gate, sometimes they need a few days to come around. Can't hurt to try both ways. And, please, tell me what you discover!! Cool!! You keep at it. You'll get a straight in there yet, I know it. One hint: try to use a drawing that has 3 different numbers so you get a good mix of numbers. Stay away from the doubles and triples.

Pac, you could probably use one string indefinitely and I'm sure sooner or later you'll get a straight in there but all my systems are based on using current drawings with the thought that your next drawings derive from those. I've tested up to 20 days on using the same strings and they still had hits but would I risk that if I was playing real money? Probably not. I'd say a week is good, 2 weeks is probably better. This is where some heavy backtesting for your state would be benficial. Once you start testing and getting a rhythm down I'm assuming that one pattern will show up more then another. I will keep testing for CA. but I hope anyone else who is testing will let us know what they find. I've got some more ideas about this, more variations on the strings. Always trying to improve here, you know. Will spill some more beans in a little while.

Backtesting would be easier with a  program that would set up the strings and the combos..

Everything in this game is worth a try to get those picks narrow down to less numbers and more wins.

Nice to hear from you CW! The latest news on the strings is that I have been fooling around with plussing and minusing them. This is so it will give you a better chance to get those right numbers in the right pattern. What works for one state doesn't necessarily mean it will work in another so we have to shake them up a little. If you find you aren't getting good results using what I have shown here, try this new way. There will be more as I go along. I wish there were more hours in the day because it all gets to be very time consuming. But very fun!!

For example, say your last night's drawing was 4 9 3.

Now instead of writing it out in order like I said before use this formula--

+2

-1

+2

To translate that means to take the 4 and add 2 to it to start off with so that would be 6.

Take the 9 and minus 1 so you'll start off with 8.

And again, take the 3 and add 2 so begin with 5.

Your strings should look like this then:

6 7 8 9 0 1 2 3 4 5

8 9 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7

5 6 7 8 9 0 1 2 3 4

Maybe this will give everyone a new idea now to work with. Plus some of the strings and minus some, see what works for you. I will post some more as my testing continues.

How right you are about a program!! Wish I was a computer whiz, I'm learning but it's slow.
