I'm not sure what you mean. The lottery is supposed to be random, so how would I actually know the number is going to hit?  If there was no risk involved I'd be foolish not to bet everything I have on a number.  Of course, then it would raise suspicion.  Regarding the lady in MI, she had been playing that number for 34 years. If I played the same number for that long and suddenly had a very strong gut instinct, maybe I'd bet $100 if it wasn't too much of a burden. But the sure thing is different. (It would also be illegal!)

By the way, what is the maximum bet on a pick-3 and pick-4?  I assume it is up to the amount that would result in the estimated payout for that draw. Maybe it's been posted before, but I'm not sure what the highest payout has been by a state to any one individual.

I heard about that. I would have bet $50.00

The way to know what day a

number will hit is to keep track

of what day a number fell

       like this number for instance

      01/04/2006 1967
      01/11/2006 1976
      02/05/2006 1967
      04/05/2006 7169
      07/19/2006 1697

Since this is a Wednesday Hot Number for Michigan

It will fall on Wednesday for other states too!

      Once this number starts falling

It don't stop because it is a

      Back to Back Number

We are all in one big POT!!!

This Number has Hit 5 times in

Michigan this year and so far is the Hottest LOL

Keeps falling on Wednesday Fell on

      Wednesday and Sunday Only.

So the days you want to play

      it is Monday's Tuesday's Thursday's

       Friday's and Saturday's

Since Wednesday is the day it was

drawn the most I would say Tuesday & Thursday

      For this number to POP!!!

And it would be nice if the numbers were

randomly drawn but this is not

the case. If numbers was randomly

drawn 123, 756, and so on would

appear more than it has for all states.

Note: They cannot tell us the numbers

      are not randomly drawn because

they would face tons of lawsuitsSmash

         I heard about that.

Lottery Queen, the story is on the Home Page of Lottery Post and has been for days!

Anyway, I'm not questioning the 100% randomness of the numbers, since I've had my suspicions, but not totally convinced one way or the other. But no matter how hard people work their systems, there is still a lot of risk IMHO. I guess I read the poll in a different light and there was a misunderstanding.  I was simply saying if anyone actually knew for sure a number was going to hit, why not bet thousands up to the max?  But I don't believe that any lottery drawing is ever a sure thing unless it's rigged. Anyway, this woman played 2123 for a very long time.

You Right. Yes I seen that

(I meant to say I read that.)

I think that question needs to be looked at on what the value of the bet can mean in a win or loss.

If $1.00 is a large bet to you then a 500.00 win in the pick 3 would be awesome to win.

Once you get to a certain point of money needed and money not needed the money not needed is nothing but figures to you.

Going by the question, if I knew for sure which number was coming out, I would bet everything I had and I would play it straight! Wink

                Ditto...

I would get as many tickets as the computer would allow.

I know they have a limit on some combinations, especially quads...

I was playing a slot machine in Cripple Creek CO about 15 years ago that paid on every 5th pull.  This was about 2 weeks after gambling opened there.

I emptied the machine, they 'refilled' it, and it never hit again in the next 20 pulls, I walked away with a few thousand dollars.

Ya gotta know when to fold.......

It's just like PB - I am absolutely positively 99% convinced I can win a pick 5 if I had $360........ but there is the question of that 1%.........

This is definitely a no brainer...LOL

If I knew what the night's winning number was for sure....I would withdraw every dollar from my bank account.

We're talking millions in winning tickets, but I'm sure there's a cap.

That's why some states have parimutuel payouts. They bypass that step.....No need to have caps.....

                    I voted more.
