I voted not sure at this time.  I do love the play money I have with the online.  I would hate to see it taken away.  I don't want to pay any taxes however,  I do enough of that with my work money..  Why should they take my play money?

If I had a choice, I would just go with taxing it I guess.

A lil depressing to think about Mike, everythings going to be fine. It would be a waste of time and energy to go through with something like this.

i like it the way it is now but if the government is going to interfere with it i would rather them regulate it than it be outright banned.rick is right about the government.on all the polls that were done on americans and gambling nearly 90 percent said they would like gambling to be legalized.the government doesn't care though.......

your right the government doesn't care what the people want only what they can make off of the deal. When we started America we started it because we were getting taxed above and beyond what was supposedly legitimate. 200 some odd yrs later and we are still being taxed to death.

no matter what the people want the gov. will do what it want's to. If they feel like blocking it they will go all out to do it. if they decide to allow it they will profit from it . as far as the govs concerned they will make out one way or another. Because if they try and block it then people will lobby for some form of it and then the gov. will step in and cut a deal. But only if they get a controlling interest in it. Are monitoring it and are profiting from it.

The sad thing is the winnings would already be subject to Federal income tax (states may very). Politiciians are just more interested in corruption than the opinions of their constituents.

My choice would have been 'leave it the way it is', so the only choice I can vote on is 'not sure'.

I'm kinda tired of new taxes, I mean, we get a paycheck, I lose 30% to taxes, I have 70% left, and THAT gets taxed when I buy something - anything.

I'd rather see us pull out of Iraq and save the billion a day we spend there.

                        IMHO, gambling is a narcotic.

No matter what the government does, folks who want to gamble, and folks looking to make some easy money, will find a way to do it.

It's probably easy for banks to identify gambling accounts now, but it won't be for long.

I'm not an expert on the technical aspects of the internt, but I suspect that the only way to interrupt on-line gambling is to block the gambling sites, which means censorship to the nth degree.

I think any politician pushing internet censorship probably won't be in office long. I may not visit the casinos, but I certainly don't want a crooked, gay, child molesting, alcoholic a*****e telling me I can't go to one if I choose.

As an aside, Texas lottery commissioners who have been pushing the internet gambling ban for years believe no access means gamblers will buy more lottery tickets. Got news for them. It isn't going to make a difference. Playing poker will top the scratch cards everytime.

I am upset enough now to try to kill the pick 3 it being the source of so much money to the states.

My question is. The money collected from online gambling where will it go? The states make it go to education but where online gambling will go?

Because if it goes into something else and not into education (or whatever worthy cause your state has it) the government maybe worry that the online gambling (online lotteries) will steal customers from the state lottery thus losing revenue...
