"IMO there are parallels between cash v annuity and the abortion issue. For obvious reasons, I won't go any further." CashOnly
Cash, this was a really cheap shot "for obvious reasons." People often make comments and then write words like "don't bother even responding" or "I won't even get into this." When this happens, it's a way of saying you need to make a point and have the last word. Then just say it.
For the year or so I've been on this site, I've seen your rants every time this discussion is raised, and even when it's not. At first I thought it was humorous. I still do. After all, it's obvious that you feel very strongly about getting the cash, not the annuity. We all know that, we've all heard that.
Regarding the comment I above quoted, there's a big difference between a slip of paper with a few numbers on it and a living, breathing being. So there is absolutely no comparison. I mean, you're talking about a game. (Maybe you really wrote that to stir up some controversy.) BTW, I am politically pro-choice, although I won't label myself since I am very pro-life, meaning all life is important. Where and when it begins is a whole other very personal & private issue. Still, I would never compare a lottery pay-off to what you suggested. That's stooping to a whole new level.
