WB only, I'll go with 7, 8, 19, 26, 50,  I was tempted to say 3, but I won't list it. I MAY play it.

You mean you are NOT going to play those, ?

I guess I have have to put a qualifier in that stipulates you cannot pick consecutive numbers, or 5 numbers from any one group.

Dare I ask folks to try and be a bit more 'broad' in their selections ?

Yeah, I know, ya try to be creative, then you have to start explaining to folks your intentions..... then the fun is gone.

guesser, my 5 worst WBs I'm selecting will also be part of 15/5 format in MADDOG10's PB challenge later. Good luck to everyone including guesser. My 5 WBs are 1, 8, 25, 26, and 34.

I'm going to say that WB 1,7,23,32,44, will not play.  (Now maybe I should go and buy a ticket with these numbers b/c that's how my luck goes....)

Statistically speaking, it's pretty easy to pick all of the longshots and say they won't hit, because seldom do you ever see TWO longshots hit in one game, but it does happen, letseee........ in the last 104 drawings it has happened 5 times.

Longshots right now (have not hit in 25 games or more):

                11-4-6-23-25-34-1  < #1 is 52 games old - the oldest WB)

Semi-longshots (have not hit in 20-24 games):

                32-44-36-30-31-37-53

(Yes, DO notice the abundance of 30's in there - 5 of them)

RJ - you must not have seen my posting I made here yesterday - a day before yours saying the same thing.

                    I am adding 3, 12, 20 and 22 to my list to go along with 7, 8, 19, 26, 50.

I guess from now on I will have to stipulate no numbers older than 20 games old, or maybe only half of your numbers can come from 20 games or older.

                            8,17,21,29,31,

                            Now THAT'S what I'm talking about !

                            And now we can discuss:

                            I have #17 and #29 are on my PLAY list, #8 is not,  #21 and #31  I'm so-so about, can't decide if I want #30 or #31....

Why have you ruled #17, #29 and #31 out, compared to, say #54, and #30 ?

ALL of my theories evolve around what to rule OUT, and not what to Play.  I figure by rulling out numbers, you arrive at a set to pool from, and you are not saddled with 'favorite numbers', which usually don't hit.

Why is it bad to pick numbers by an EASY method? Is there some inherent merit in doing things the hard way? This is a rather strange challenge in which you want to tell people which numbers they can select and how they must select them. Sounds to me like you've already made some unilateral decision about which numbers are not supposed to hit. You might be onto something if you can convince the MUSL people to rig the drawings to your liking. However people choose whichever numbers, isn't the ultimate test in the way they stack up against the actual draw numbers? I was going to participate in this "challenge", but you already disallowed all the numbers that I was going to submit. And I didn't even come up with them the EASY way.
