You can't be judged by what you want to do, only by what you do.

I was Kinda wondering the same thing myself..if we should take our money out of our account and run..or what..

If you have money in your account is it still illegal to bet since they are removing said money from your betslips account and not using a credit card?

          Dear Howard,

Thank you for writing to us.

Betslips.com is not a USA company, so we are not directly subject to USA government laws, but we will not do anything that we understand to be in direct violation of USA law. Just like other companies in the gaming sector, we are currently evaluating the impact, if any, of the new legislation. Some highlights of the legislation we feel are important to USA customers:

          * The law does not appear to update the Wire Act of 1961, meaning that it does not outlaw any form of Internet gaming that was not previously outlawed. Most in the gaming sector interpret the Wire Act to outlaw sports betting only, which Betslips.com does not offer.

          * The law has exceptions for lotteries, so it is possible that some or all of our games offered will be uneffected.

          * The parts of the bill with the most direct impact seem to be the ban on using any USA bank instruments to pay for online gaming. Since Betslips.com does not directly accept any form of bank instrument, we will have to wait and see how Click2Pay reacts to the new law.

          * Betslips.com has customers from around the world, and will continue to operate legally.

If any changes to our service or website become necessary, Betslips.com will notify its customers as to what changes were made, and for what reason. Until any such changes are made, please continue using and enjoying our service as usual.

            jackbenni,

I edited the e-mail you pasted here and took out your personal information.  Nobody should ever post their personal e-mail address on a public forum.  Just so you're aware, the only changes I made were to take out your full name and e-mail address, and I cleaned up the formatting so it would be readable.

In the future if you ever want to paste something like that (from another web site), it is best to use the Paste as Plain Text button --  -- which strips out all the formatting so it will be readable.

                Thank you Todd

Thank you for posting that note.  They are basically confirming something that I have heard from many different sources.  This new law is not the sweeping end to Internet gambling that everyone has been predicting.  It's another dumb law that is wide open to interpretation, and only hurts small banks.
