I would be interested to know what ball-drawn games do not give you the opportunity to watch the drawings, either on TV or online. I would think that those games should be given a failing grade as well because there is no evidence that the drawings are actually done. Any thoughts on this? Anyone know of any games not televised (TV or net)?

I totally agree.  That's one of the big strikes against computerized drawings.  It is impossible to show an actual computerized drawing take place, which is one of the reasons outlined in the Petition showing why computerized drawings are so bad.

The most effectictive thing to do would be to get every player to not play a state's computerized loitery, but that will never happen.

Let the lottery revenue go down to nothing and see how quick they'd revert to a live drawing.

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

        Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

The only two states I can think of that might have non-televised ball drawings are New York and Florida (I remember hearing that somewhere). I know that the Florida Lotto game is televised, but something about the other games not being. Same with New York for the games other than the Lotto. The next time I am visiting PA, I will have to break out the rabbit ears and see if I can pick up the signal from a New York state TV station during drawing time.

Are you sure about NY?  I know at least some of the draws are televised, I thought they all were.

I'm not sure either. That's why I'm throwing that out there.

All NY drawings except Pick 10 are shown on free TV. Pick 10 was shown on MSG cable; I don't know if that's still true.

BTW, while NY Lotto has true drawings, it's a fake game.

Everybody should whine about games with terrible payouts, and those without a cash option. Right now, it's only a fantasy that NY Lotto offers a payout over 40%.

Well you could show the computer desktop on a projection screen and someone's fingers pushing a key to cause an RNG to produce a winning number.  However, you would not know where the feed was coming from or if it had been rigged to start with.  Computer drawings send a negative message to me anyway.  Lottery is really not about technology to start with and should be presented in such a way as to entertain the customer.  What a boring drawing those are, no excitement at all.  You could have more fun watching your neighbor mow his yard.

Showing someone punching a button does NOT show the drawing, and that's the point.  It is IMPOSSIBLE to know what is happening in that computer that is causing those numbers to be drawn.

Computers can be programmed to do anything.  For exmaple, you can easily program a computer so that when the operator presses an "8" key, it really outputs a "7".  As far as rigging a drawing, a computer could be programmed to generate a specific set of numbers (or to avoid a certain set of numbers) and then erase the program after it's finished so nobody would ever know it was there.

Seeing that keyboard operator punching the Enter key on TV does not reveal that a program is running behind the scenes generating whatever sequence they desire.  It looks like every other time they hit "Enter".

With drawing costs amounting to .01% of the state lottery budget, it is absolutely CRAZY that the lotteries would switch to using a computer.  It's just plain stupid, and it is lazy.
