C-T, like that Shuffle!

The early point spread has the Colts favored by a touchdown.  That's a sweet spot for the Bears to be in.  It will take a lot of the pressure off them during the next two weeks of hype.  The Bears (and Lovie Smith) have not received respect all season.

Here's a couple of little known facts about Lovie Smith.  During the last couple games of the regular season they purposely changed their Defensive lineup to show weakness up the middle.  This was for the benefit of their future opponents watching game films.  The Saints with the best running team in football thought they were going to exploit it but the Bears Defense switched back to early season mode and limited them to two touchdowns.  The Saints were handcuffed all game.  (We sacrificed the game to Green Bay using this diversionary tactic).

Before the post season games Lovie Smith created a daily schedule for each player detailing workout times, off times, travel plans, etc. leading up to and ending on Feb. 4th.  He wouldn't have wasted his time if he didn't think they'd get there.

He has 26 wins so far in two seasons.  He should have been coach of the year.  But when a coach and team get no respect, they have nothing to lose and everything to gain by winning.

If the same defensive unit shows up on Feb. 4th the Bears will win.  Captain Urlacher knows this is the best chance of his career to get a ring so I'm thinking we have a good chance of stopping the Colts.

Excellent post, Rick, and there certainly is always a lot of hype between the championship game and the Super Bowl. (MacMahon sure was entertaining though!)

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

I am glad that the Colts won.
For Peyton, Tony Dungy , Marvin Harrison , and even Joseph Addai - a first class organization from top to bottom.

The Pats had their run and I am glad it's over.
      Belichick is an ass.
Did you see the way he brushed Peyton off ?

      LaDanian Tomlinson had a point.............

There were a lot of classless moments in the playoffs.  I like Reggie Bush but taunting the defense as he headed to the end zone was really classless.  Just as the Patriots are classless and I'm glad they lost.

I hope the Colts whip the Bears butts.

          Mike,

Peyton won a BIG ONE last week .

He has one more hurdle to cross to get a championship, but last Sunday's game was by all accounts one of the best games of all time.

As I said in your blog, I agree with your numbers, but reverse them .
          Colts will win this game.
