It was a headline story here in nj but got quickly overwhelmed by a fire in Bronx that killed 9 people. Most of the big winners I hear of on the news right when they won but other than JW and a few others you never hear about them again. The elderly couple in Missouri, the lady in MA who won last time the draw was on Times Square I think, the Lerners in Rutherford, nj, Rebecca Jemison (vs. Elicia Battle for the title bout), Archie Herring who won 10 2nd prizes, the retired truck driver in Virginia (his first line out of five QP won), and the Wests, to name a few.
The best way to deal with freeloaders as it were, is not feel guilty if you don't share. Where were THEY when YOU were poor?
Were it me I would have at least waited until it stopped snowing to drive to Trenton. That's a LOT scarier.
