Just because someone is having a bad day, doesn't mean they will be rude to just anyone. Also, you keep saying that certain clerks are rude. Could you be more specific? What exactly are they doing that is so rude? Why would you even care what they think? It doesn't take that long to buy a lottery ticket so before you know it, you and this person who you don't even know can go about the rest of your day. Usually I go to the same gas station to get a lottery ticket because it's the closest to my house, but if I'm out driving around and decide I want a lottery ticket, I'm not going to be that picky about where I'm going to buy it. Buying a lottery ticket isn't a difficult task.

I don't know about that. I've been shot at, had hot coffee thrown at my face, hit on the head with a bat, stabbed, electrocuted, and set on fire. Each of those incidents were by different clerks at different locations.
I just stopped playing all together. It's just not worth the hassle. My hospital bills have overwhelmed me. I'm talking 275,000 bucks.

You know sometimes when you are waiting in line and you see the clerk rolling their eyes are being abrupt with the customers, thats what I am talking about. I am not talking about someone blatantly saying or doing something out of the way, i'm talking about someone that acts like you are an inconvenience to them.
I work in a casino on the tables so I have learned to deal with many different types of personalities from a-z. I consider myself a people person. In no way do I want the clerk to go out of their way to serve my because I used to be a clerk too. All I expect is courteous service. They don't have to smile or remember my name or anythiing like that either, I am not an attention seeker. I could care less if the clerk is having a bad day or not, just don't take it out on me.
I hope that better explains what I mean.

omg Pac! u can't be serious! U got me laughing so hard that my jaw hurts! lolololol I have not heard anyone get all that beating from store clerks. U kill me everytime u post, I love to laugh. thanks Pac!

All I did was hand the betslip to them, and they went off like crazy people.
I'm afraid to just go in a 7-11 and buy a cup of coffee. Gotta make sure there are no betslip racks with short pencils next to the counter. The tips are very sharp.
No tape has been recovered, because they got to them and destroyed the evidence.
I live in Bonita Springs Florida. It's a very nice neighborhood, with lots of rich people. But certain parts aren't all that good, but it's not like you have to worry about being robbed or anything like that.
It's just bad clerks that must have worked for the post office and instead of going postal on their co-workers, they took it out on everyone who hands them a betslip.
I have to travel far to get gas, and have to pay by credit card so I don't even have to go inside to pay the clerk for the gas......
Somethings gotta get done about this abuse.

I think pac was being serious, not sure I see the humour in such a situation. Perhaps a refresher course in being respective to a persons misfortunes are in order here.
I like the walking to different stores idea! With gas at a high around here, walking just seems to make it that much more productive, and adds to the adventure.! Or biking to the store is also an option. Whatever the means, the end result is to go to various locations ...
