If is a mighty big word.

Most people don't realize that all of us win the lottery many times over on a daily basis, and the only difference is that it doesen't involve the lottery.
We get up in the morning, God willing....We just beat the odds. We take a shower without slipping in the tub and breaking our necks. We drive to work without being hit by someone not paying attention to what their doing on the road, or at night with a drunk driver. We beat the odds. We live our lives in peace whithout a terrorist blowing us up. We beat the odds.
We fly on jet planes without crashing. We trust the fast food restaurants when we order something and don't get sick from food poisoning. We beat the odds.
We have our kids returned safely from school 5 days a week without the bus driver crashing. We beat the odds. And on and on...
Sometimes I have to remember those things when I get too angry about how life seems so unfair. Because if I don't, you might as well put me in a looney bin...LOL
P.S. There have been times in my life where exceptional events happened which eclipse all the miracles listed above. But without boring everyone, I'll only tell you of the one that was the best unbelievable event that would have been the equivalent of a major powerball win, atleast in my opinion.
In 1988 I was living in Tonopah Arizona, in a mobile home. On one occasion I was so bored, that I took a plastic cup full of pennies, and went to one end of the trailer and with all my might throwing them one at a time, out to the other end of the trailer with all the enrgy I had. I know...stupid....
Anyway, here's where I felt like I was in the twilight zone. Two miracles happened all together, this is the first one. My first pitch of the penny hit the other side of the trailer wall, bounced a few times and landed on the inside of a lamp shade, rolling on it's edge, starting from the top, just like those motorcycle tricks at the circus, and kept rolling slowly all the way down to the bottom of the shade. WOW!!
The second one was about 2 minutes later, when I retrieved most of the pennies on the floor and started the whole thing one more time, this time from the other end. Lo and behold, my first pitch, the penny bounced all over the place and finally landed in the same plastic cup from where I got the pennies in the first place, but now the cup was situated somewhere else. I think it was now on the kitchen island. WOW!! Two first pitches in a row...
