Newsflash: it's never coming.  I think the author has made that abundantly clear.

You are probably right Todd. It would have been decent for Marco to just say so.

No one can fault him for trying to develop a system but the unkept promises speak lesser of the man.

Awww, give the guy a break. People who develop systems run into all kinds of snags and things get delayed, believe me, I know! Perhaps his only fault was giving a specific date that is was going to be ready by. So he jumped the gun a little, that's how it goes.

I know the feeling. I never release a beta of anything. I pretty much crash test the thing myself and that can be a very long process.

I agree with all comments posted, on both sides of the argument!

My initial comment was based on something I believe the author posted about not having time or money to complete the software.  That's how I arrived at my conclusion -- it's not a slam on the software author.

As one who has developed software for the majority of my time spent on this planet, I can attest to difficulties in meeting deadlines, as well as trying to manage expectations.  Anyone who spends a lot of time developing software lives and breathes those two words.

Properly managing expectations can bring better customer satisfaction than writing the best software on Earth, but not delivering as intended.
