Seriously, no girl on earth will give me the time of day now, and I wouldn't want to start a relationship after a big win because I would never know if they were after me or my money, and most likely they'd be after the latter.

I wouldn't date anyone after a big win, because I would think they were only interested because of the money. Especially if you are in the newspaper and on television because of it. That only makes sense.

I would think wanting to be single if you won big implies wanting to be single, win or no win.
What if spouses are reading the board?

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any. So many systems, so many theories, so few jackpot winners.

Sorry, I never even noticed this remark. Really!! I guess I didn't because I don't believe that any poll on this board should be for specific groups of people. I see why you posted it that way however. You are asking the married people on this board if they'd get divorced.
Regarding the answers that say "I don't want someone to be interested in my money" I disagree with this attitude. I will elaborate on this later.

actually in my reply i said i didnt want someone who "JUST" wanted me for money. i would want them to want me for other things too not "JUST" for money. so that i why i said dating would be more difficult but i cant speak for other on here because some people arent typing the "just" part in their answers so they may not mean it the way i meant it. i would want her to want me for who i am and for many reasons not "just" the millions i won in the jackpot...

Since it IS a poll, any I AM anyone, I think I'll stick with the singles here in my response.
The lottery will naturally have an impact on the dating or otherwise single lifestyle. As it should.
The difference will be that I've already weeded out the gold diggers and the less kind hearted gents, so the pickings will be fair if I did so choose to share or move on with my winnings.
An endearing male friend and I have already agreed that if either wins, we have no problem wishing each other a good life and going to fullfill our dreams separately. Took awhile to think money superceded our friendship, yet overall it also made me realize that his dreams never encluded being tied down or devoted to a lady. Its just not in his nature .
The odd part of this scenario is, that I really would share some of my winnings with my ex-spouse. He truly deserves a better life then the one that was dealt him.

nothing would make me happier than sharing my winnings with my soul-mate and my kids. I would feel so selfish if I left my soulmate after winnig. I love him now and I would love him the same with lots of $$$. I bet he might love me a bit more with though
