  We stopped at a grocery store today, went to the checkout, and our total was $7.77

  Being a member of LP, I had to play it, right?

  No can do, Illinois shut it off for the day.

  I'm sure it's one of the most commonly played, and limited numbers, but let's see if it hits tonight.

  (Illinois has no Mid-day on Sundays).  

  Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any. So many systems, so many theories, so few jackpot winners. 

  

  There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

  In all of my years of playing the IL lottery I have never heard of a number being locked out.  Is this something new?

  Posted 4/6:  IL Pick 3 midday and evening until they hit:  555, 347 (str8).

  There's been posts here on LP about states with Pick 3 and Pick 4 games only setting aside a certain amount for a maximum payoff. 
  

  When enough people have played a number to potentially reach that amount, should it hit, the number becomes unavailalbe for that draw. 

  I had 777 on a playslip, evening, Straight Box, $1 and it wouldn't run. Then the clerk tried to put it in manually, and it still wouldn't take it.

  Yes, I know some other states do it but I never heard of them doing it in IL.  Learn something new every day I guess.

  I was locked out as well, i tried to put in the 777's & 7777 & the machine would not take it / c'ya

   

  P.S. Look out for (457 & 438) combinations
