The lottery knows "If you offer it they will play". There will always be enough people to play whatever it is offered, especially when they've got "the only game in town". If a computerized draw is the only choice, what's the alternative? Move to a non-computerized state, and then it goes computerized?
Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.
There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

What is the difference?Does it really matter if the games are played this way? or do this mean they are cheating the people? Think about it . The games are played on computer. The computer instantly knows what numbers were played and how any many tickets were sold. The state is out to make MONEY . Computers can be easily programmed to pick numbers with the lowest amount of winners, so the state makes more money. So, on a Cash 3 game for example, instead of Releasing a winning number with 2900 winners, it would be more advantageous to release one with a far less number say , 320 ... people won , but is it fair , No . There is way too much money involved in daily drawing for someone somewhere not to have their hands out. Bingo halls in this town were recently shut down because someone had rigged the computers to have the same people win jackpots everynight. It was so obvious, it was ridiculous . Someone notified the gaming commission and that's what they found. would have gotten away with it if they hadn't been so greedy. That's why it makes me wonder when I hear of few winning and very small payouts.. Something is just is not right...Just Too much opportunity for greed when running any gaming via computer. Wayyy too easy to rig .

Not always the case here in South GA, most of us are minutes away from the SC line. Just cross the bridge and we are in SC.

Tennessee has had nothing but scandals for the last ten years. We have put several corrupt politicians behind bars for one bribe or another. The only reason Tennessee will go computerized is to allow the other corrupt politicians to "cash in" with less public oversight. I can see it now. The ranking members of the State Senate will have their dead grandmothers be a winner. Or the winning number will be programmed into the computer before the draw and they will control the winning ticket. As the lotto people are under state control, there will not be a FBI sting operation capable of infiltrating deep enough to uncover the stink. I can only hope the lotto people think long and hard before they go computer. As far as the number of people buying tickets goes, there will not be a decrease because most players don't have a clue as to how the winning numbers are picked; nor do they care.
