Has anyone ever used www.random.org to pick numbers to try in the lottery?

        Elizabeth,

As far as picking lottery numbers, it is no better than any other RNG.  But it is an excellent randomization tool that can be used a lot of different ways for playing the lottery.  I use it frequently to create combos from chosen number pools.

The difference is random.org does not use algorithms to create numbers.  It uses atmospheric "noise".  No seeds, no algorithms.

I haven't but what would be the point when you can buy QPs?

When I pick my own numbers, I'm not interested in random numbers, I'm picking specific numbers for a reason.

LP's quick pick generator is as good as any other or maybe better.  But using atmospheric noise or the radioactive decay of Cesium is more random because seeds and algorithms (man made factors) are not being used.  Computer RNGs are inherently "artificial" in their randomness.

Thanks for the link Elizabeth03, I figure the more the merrier with these things!

RickG- what was that numerology one you posted a while back, something  with formal or formalogy.com?

(Elizabeth03- that one uses your birthday to generate quick picks for you).

ThePowerball site tells us that 70 to 80 % of ticket sales are Quick Picks, and 70 to 80% off winners are Quick Picks, but I think it's even higher than that because of things like this. If you get your numbers from any RNG besides the lottery terminal, you'll take those numbers and put them on a playslip, but aren't they actually still a quick pick?

What do you think guys, poll?

Why not, it's been a little slow....

                  Wink

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

                  Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

RNG's R not my favorite WAY to pick lotto ###########'s, BUT

                        all know I play a lot of QP's ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

They (QP's) are about as close as you can get to picking a number

but, with the bubble machine & algonrithms to create

##########'s...............I like this combination of slection^^^^
