Yup. The first book wasn't enough, so buy another. And another. Gail Howard no doubt says thank you, since she has to rely on sales for a living instead of cashing her winning lottery tickets.
"if your lotto game averages one repeat number a drawing, then you need to include at least one repeat number in your wheel."
You need to include all of the numbers, because you don't know which of them will repeat. Then there are the numbers that come from the 30 to 50 numbers that didn't come up in the last drawing or two (or ten). The only wheel that really works is a wheel with all of the numbers. Unfortunatley it costs too much to play them.
Actually, Floyd, if you know number patterns combined with strategies, you do NOT have to play all the numbers to win. For example, I have had 4 out of 6 numbers about 7 times in the last 2 years. Not the big one yet, but it's coming!

We can't commit crimes here such as exchanging copyrighted materials, systems and software authors make a living selling. It would get the site owner in trouble if such things went on. Take a minute and read the rules on the left column menu as you agreed to them by posting. BobP

I recently purchased Gail Howard's book on pick 5 games. Here in MD, we have "Bonus Match 5" where you can pick five numbers but 6 are drawn. So I tried the strategies and failed miserably. Is this because I bought the wrong book or do I just have really bad luck?
It is a matter of refining your tactics to get winners. Since you mentioned wheel 5 with 6 numbers drawn, use 5/39 wheels since you are not choosing the bonus ball on the play slip. The bonus ball is pulled from the 39 as four4me mentions for more lower tier prizes.
I look at the latest draw and compare it with recent draws three to six back for any similarities and then go back no more than two months looking for similar draws of the latest and the followers that fell after the similar past draws.
I garner a set of 14 numbers and do an abbreviated wheel which guarantees 3 of 5 if 5 typically. This gives me hits regularly.

There is another point I would like to make, and that is the format of the previous draws. For myself and in my minds eye, I read (and most people do) from top to bottom, left to right. I suggest when "looking" at previous draws it is much easier to view and therefore easier to absorb by listing the results top to bottom just like four4me has them listed on the first page of this thread.
It may be a minor point to some, but for myself it helps immensely. Most results are listed with the latest draw on top, it is worth reversing the direction as trends are easier to "see". Hope this helps.
For tonight 09/26 I will abbreviate 4 if 5 of 12 wheel these:
1-11-13-15-17-21-24-27-29-30-35-38
The very recent draws are similar to the draws which were occuring the week of 8/13.
