I think lottery sales will go down if people can't afford food & gasoline.  I mean, although some people will feel desperate and spend more, if you don't have the cash in your pocket, you can't play!  In some of the wealthier areas, it really won't have much of an impact.  However, even in the wealthy areas, people are complaining that they've lost money, but the economy isn't having the same effect as on those who live paycheck to paycheck.

I think sales will go down because people might not play as often or will start setting a spending limit. Luckily I manage an office pool which everyone is dedicated to playing but it's for the Mega Millions so I'm not exactly turning a profit.

      Good luck to everyone!
