Well, maybe you should move to Miami! The winner of the $36 million jackpot just claimed his prize yesterday. He is 77 years old! He is also not an American. I think he was in Florida visiting his son. He bought a QP at a convenience store and it was the lucky ticket!
The FL Lottery usually deducts 30% tax if the winner isn't a US Citizen, but I wonder if countries like Venezuela tax the winnings. Does anyone know that? I mean, if I win a foreign lottery, I'm pretty sure I still have to pay Federal tax to the IRS.
Well, congrats to Salvatore DiStefano, age 77. I hope he parties hard!
