Couldn't help but post this.The stat feature is cool as hell ya gotta admit.I understand the world is vast and so many3 or four digit good intentions get passed around.Was just curious how many of you take your stats seriously when placing bets on LP

I think the stats as well as the top predictors info is a great bonus here at LP, at the very least , they can help you play smarter. Its fun too, now if I actually lived in the states I statistically do well in online , I probably wouldn't hit....

The problem with Statistics is that they are updated after each drawing, so there is no historical data to work with.

It would probably take up a lot of memory to archive the stats here at LP, but it would become a gold mine, in my opinion.

Todd may have a way to isolate any given date parameters and bring them up through the stats layout dynamically, rather than saving each stat page daily.

The majority of players just want a quick fix from the least amount of effort, so date-parametered stats probably wouldn't be used much.

I think it would open up a new realm of systems if the stats could be isolated by date, especially for the jackpot games.

Edit:

As far as being usful for jackpot games, here's what I'm talking about...

Take Powerball for instance.

Get the Last Drawn numbers for the last 30 draws and note the position.

Back up one draw and note the position.

Repeat 30 times.

Now, work with the position numbers and come up with several popular combinations where the positons are most favorable.

Then look at the current stats and pick the numbers by those established positons.

I would like to cast a vote for this poll, but there is no poll response that fits "Yes". For a "Yes/No" poll there should be at least a "Yes" and "No", and then all the other in-betweens that make sense.

Your response caught my eye, in that I track the jackpot games (Tx Lotto, MM, Tx 2 Step) like you described, but I have kept the stats for the last 3 1/2 years. I typically play the numbers by position and frequency. I also pay attention to which decades (1-9;10-19;etc) play in which position the most.

I have thought about just going back to a limited number of draws, say 30, or 50, or whatever. Have you kept stats longer than a year, and has it worked better, or do you do better with limited draws. The way I'm playing, I can get close picking the right decade for each position, butttttttt, close doesn't count, or pay. LOL.

I started keeping Powerball stats and worked with it for about 6 months, but was mainly focused on Hi/Lo - Odd/Even guessing using vertical colomn skipping and front digit guessing. One or two white balls was as good as I could get. It seemed pointless, so I stopped. It was pretty much like flipping a coin 15 times and trying to guess the correct out come with 75% accuracy or better just to get a small prize. I bought quick picks as well, and the quick picks out performed all my efforts. Go figure!

Prior to that method, I kept track of positions from the Last Drawn selection in the Stats, but there are so many ways to look at the data, that I didn't really scratch the surface.

Here's a setup for Powerball using just a few data sets to determine some positions.

The data set has to lag the current draw in history by one drawing so you can see what position it was in just prior to the drawing. You will pick ball numbers based on the previous draw's positions.

Next drawing is based on 06/21/08 - 01/02/08 data set and those positions were based on the previous draw's data set, ect, ect...
