We all have a mental list of what we need, but what would be FIRST?

The first thing I'd buy is a 3 hour consultation with a top Trust Attorney.

I should have checked house.   Prices are still dropping quite a bit here, but a house would be my next big purchase.

First, a nice new sailboat, like a Hunter 49DS.  Already have a nice house, paid for; already have two vacation homes, paid for; already have 2 cars, paid for; already have lots of electronic toys; don't need to take a vacation, have been travleling all over the world for years; don't want another airplane.  Perhaps a vacation home in Hawaii.  It might be nice to just give to my favorite charities.

That's exactly what I did Jxp the first 15 minutes after I had for the first time laid eyes on a slot machine in Atlantic City.  I won $450 and i didn't know what I had done and asked the lady beside me what was going on  with my machine.  I went in the bar and had a rum and coke to calm down.  Haven't been that lucky with a slot machine since.

why not after, so your $$ can be earning interest while you vacation?

I know . . . I always worry about how I would keep the ticket safe, even overnight.  Who in my family would spill the beans (only to their best friend) after promising to keep mum?  How to explain quitting work and going on an impromptu vacation without notice?  You can come back from vacation to find the house ransacked even without telling people there is a winning lottery ticket hidden in it.   Take it with you, have your pocket picked, bag stolen.  The one time I photocopied a winning ticket I left it in the machine and didn't realize it until I got to the car, had to run back for it.  You can't trust yourself with big money on the mind.

Having a lottery ticket worth millions on your person or in your home and friends and strangers knowing about it can be dangerous.  My first object would be to get some financial advice and claim my prize before anyone other than my immediate family knew I was the winner.

After I have my panic attack, I would Buy a house and car.

I wouldn't tell much people I won...ESPECIALLY if it is a big jackpot.

The most I would say: "I came into some money" and direct the conversation elsewhere if they ask how.

I would never disclose the amount.

I've watched unsolved mysteries before, I know how psychotic people can be lol.

How do you go about finding a trust worthy  Trust Attorney? If you won a large lottery like Jack Whittaker sp? did

Wouldn't you worry that the Attorney would rip you off?  I've heard of Attorneys ripping off the clients because they

didn't have a clue what the attorney was doing for them so he just kept skimming money off the top for him self.

So how do you protect your self from something like this from happening?

                              Not exactly.

All the others asked "what would you buy?"

This poll asks, "What would you buy first?"

A small yet interesting difference, don't you agree?
