Hello everyone,

I am a newbie here so please.... be gentle! Just want to introduce and say Hi. I have learned mostly by reading the posts in these forums and I must say that the collaboration of the minds here is truly mind-bogging!!! Good luck to everyone and HELLO! hihihihihi

The game in my area is quite different so I am not sure how to apply.... for example ....

1) pick-3 in my area does not win anything for boxed...only straights (1 wins 600)

2) Pick 2 is new..... there are 100 number (00 to 99). You must pick the right number (2 digit) drawn to win. If any math or calculation genius is up for a challenge.... I am ready to donate \$500 to either the individual or to this forum if a system id developed where I need to play only 5 to 10 numbers / per drawing. (once a day).

For the 2 number game, just make a vertical list of 0-9 on a sheet of paper. One of those numbers have to come out right?

Then just add one number to the entire list, and your odds will be reduced from 1 in a 100 to 1 in 10.

Let's say the number we will choose is 8:

18

28

38

48

58

68

78

88

98

If 8 comes out, you win. To further cut costs, just play the bottom or top half. Most of the time, when one side hits 4 to 7 times in a row, just switch.

If a number comes out between 0-4, let's say 5 times in a row, then play a number between 5-9 for the next drawing. To find what number to play, try overdue numbers.

You can do the above with the pick 3 game also. Only 600 numbers? Cool !

Now your odds are reduced from 1 in 600 down to 1 in 60. Eliminate doubles and it's reduced even further.

If I were to play pick 2 I would maintain only 1 combination until it hits....Very small amount at first and inceasing the bet everyday. If itcomes out when my bet is already that big...then I would be reaping much muchmore f what I have betted, right?

After the win, I get another combination and start it with small amount again.....and so on and so forth...

Make sure to start with a number combination that has not come out yet or has been coming out repeatedly....

I am sure you will win in not so long a period from now...:-)

Had I noticed in 1994 that the pick-3 straight number 023 in Ohio hadn't hit in 10 years, I may have taken your advice and it was finally drawn. The problem is it wasn't drawn until last week or over 24 years between hits.

What is the prize for getting 2 out of 99?   Actually, it looks as if this is 2 out of 100, since you listed the double zero.   The odds calculator I used says a pick 2 from 100 numbers is 1 in 4950.

It would seem the true odds would be 1 in 100 since there are only 100 combinations of any two numbers in the drawing. And that would make sense. There is a one in 10 chance of getting the first number and a one in 10 chance of getting the second.

From there determine the number of possibilities for your sum chart. Add the two digits together to get your sum. We know there is only one combination for 00, and only one combination for 18 (9+9) your highest total.

The sum 7 has 8 combinations; the sum 8 has 9 combinations; the sum 9 has 10 combinations, 10 has 9, 11 has 8, ect.

Over a period of time you'll find that number combinations like 26, 27, 28, 29, 35, 37, 45, 54, 63, 36, will come out more often than 01, 15,  23, 33, 51, ect.

That's because you're using 100 as the pool instead of 10.  The odds calculator will give you box odds not straight for Pick-3/4.  If you do Pick-3 and put in 3 picked from a pool of 10 with 3 drawn it will give you 1 in 120 the boxed odds, no doubles no triples.  So for Pick-2 put in 2 picked from a pool of 10 with 2 drawn it will give you 1 in 45 the boxed odds discarding the mirror combinations and doubles.  BobP

I didn't read the OP correctly.   I thought he said the numbers were 00 through 99 and he had to pick 2 numbers out of 100.   I didn't realize he meant that 99 would be 2 numbers.  That's different.   I know that pick 3 in FL is 1 in 1,000  (straight)  and the pick-4 is 1 in 10,000 (straight)    At least that's what the FL web site says!
