How much do you need from the lottery, by that i mean if there any emergency you wish to pay off with the lottery, like debt, bills, you need a car, etc...
There is a difference of how much do you need as oppose to how much do you want from the lottery if you know what i mean...By that i mean you may need to pay off 4,000 dollar debt from a credit card other wise you are O.K and all you wish is to play jackpot games to win millions...Another example, you may be sick and you will need to pay off a surgery that costed you 40,000 dollars and your insurance will not pay...
I am basically asking you what's your immediate problem you wish the lottery help you solved...
Please list below 100,000 dollars....
is it: 5,000
is it: 10,000
is it: 15,000
is it: 20,000
is it: 25,000
is it: 30,000
is it: 50,000
is it: 65,000
is it: 85,000
is it: 90,000
is it: 100,000
please list your emergency/immediate problem...And please list why also if is not too much trouble...
Mines is 20,000.....
i'll say why...like 2 years ago, i set to buy my mother a house here in Panama....i saved 20,000 dollars but the house cost 40,000...I would have saved the 40,000 have i not been downgraded from the department of veterans from 100% to i think it was 50% or 60%, i only was 100% for about 1 year....I can take a loan of 20,000, well i think but i am kind of like in a predicament, i really don't know when the VA will downgrade me if they are or if they will ever take it from me, this is why i am skeptical of taking a loan....That's all i wanted to get my mother her house...I really don't wish anything more...
i listed mines now you list yours if is not too much trouble asking...And thanks a lot....
Any of the above amounts would be a nice windfall but if my quality of life depends on lottery winnings, I'd be in a sad state of affairs. Last night I "wanted" to win $500,000 in one game and/or $5400 in another, but had I "needed" the 7 bucks I spent on the lottery for supper, I would have went to bed hungry.
The lottery and gambling in general has always been a form of entertainment for me and if somebody "wants" to win a certain amount of because they "need" the winnings and use their rent or house payment to play, they should seriously consider calling the gambling hot line.
That being said, there is nothing wrong with betting a couple bucks on a pick-5 game hoping to win $100,000 or even getting your money back. I don't expect to win Mega Millions or Powerball on a $2 wager, but that doesn't stop any of us of dreaming about how we'll spend the winnings and that is worth the price of the ticket.

I consider a *need* to be an individual perspective. Some folks absolutely NEED medication that is outrageously priced. So given some scenarios I think 100k would be the need level to create the level of care needed for a family member.
And a person can win on a dollar ticket as well as a ten dollar investment. It only takes that one line to pay out :)

Not a true "need" since I do have enough money to handle it otherwise, but I'd put as top priority $65,000 to pay off my mortgage.
I'd expected to be able to sell this big house by now and downsize in my retirement, buying a smaller house and paying cash in full. But with the housing market as it is, I haven't even bothered to put the house on the market. I expect it will probably be a couple more years before there is enough action in the real estate market in this tourist location to make it worthwhile listing my house. With the mortgage paid off, I'd have another $500 a month for discretionary spending, which would give me a lot more "wiggle room" in my retirement budget.

A bit off the subject but congratulations on having just $65k left on your mortgage. Kinda nice in these trying times to even dream of something like that, let alone winning the lottery. Give it about 3 three years, it will turn around.

What I need from the lottery(P3)--for the numbers to line up just right vertivcally to pull a straight with some pepper on it
What I want from the lottery(p3)--I keep my needs small so an extra 2000-2500 tax free cash would be ideal and is very doable eventually. Will I end up in a shelter if I can't get this? hell no...as someone said earlier,it is a hobby
