Which would you rather play ?

One  $10 bet on one $50 pair,   or  Ten  $1 numbers on pick 3 exact ?

both prizes have the same odds (1:100) and the same prize ($500)  for the same cost ($10)

I sometimes wondered the same thing about pick 3 and pick 4:  Would you rather play One $10 number on pick3 exact (for a $5,000 prize) or Ten $1 numbers on pick4 (for the same prize) both at the same cost of $10 and the same odds of 1:1000 .

Well with the odds and prizes exactly the same for both, it's simply your opinion.  There is no proving one is better than the other.

DohToday I tried the pick four and the clerk told me it would cost two hundred thirty dollars for 1 tickett!!!!  I just about lost it.  I gave him 40 and told him to give me quick picks......Duh nothing......

SmileNeedless to say, I like the pick three best!!

between the two of Pick3 and Pick4, yes, I like Pick3 better.  I don't recall ever winning anything on Pick4 ever.  Pick3 on the other hand, I have played and won more than I could possibly keep track of.

I think I have a good new alternative idea to the original post question

I think I will just start playing Pick 3 Any order, between one and four quick picks at a time for $6 each.  The total cost per draw would be between $6 and $24, the odds could be as low as 1 in 42 when I play 4 numbers, and the prize would be just about $500 for singles and almost $1000 for doubles.
