Yes you can pick 1, 2, 3, or 4 numbers and ALSO mark the QP box and the computer will pick the remaining numbers.

SUMS... I haven't looked at those for Take 5 in a while.  Whats a normal range?? 80- 110 right?

I once read the range for sums in Take5 is 75 to 125......

I wondered about that, so I did my own thing using an Excel spreadsheet.  I had two years of drawings in it with the sum of each day's drawing showing in a 6th column on the sheet.  So I told Excel to average the 6th column for all 730 drawings.  The average of all those sums was 99.  So I can see where 75 to 125 comes from.  To me, the range you quoted seems a little off.  20 lower than 100, but only 10 higher than 100?  To be balanced, I would think it would be 120 on the high side.  In any case, the range you quoted  confirms the average sum of 99/100.

I'm aware of the QP box on the bet slip, though I rarely mark it.  The only QP's I get are FP's. To me, if I wanted a QP, I'd just say "X dollars QP Take5" rather than mark a bet slip.

I'm not a fan of QP's, even though they do produce the most jackpot winners.  I think that's simply a function of the fact most people are probably pressed for time, and dont want to bother with marking a bet slip.  Therfore, they say "2 dollars QP" and be on their way.  QP's could possibly give a player a set of numbers like this:  18 19 20 21 22.  A year or so ago, I emailed the NYS Lottery asking if a set of five sequential numbers has ever been drawn in Take5.  The answer was no, but they have gotten a set of four sequential numbers in Take5.  Good Luck to all!  GiveFive

wow, i didn't actually buy tickets yesterday, but i had my combinations set up but ran out of time to get to the store.  Would have had 3/5 for sure.  And had all 5 winning numbers in my set.  I would have had a good chance to win or at least 4/5 if i had spent a little more time on it ;[  Had a busy day yesterday but of the time i had left, i spent most of that chatting with a friend, thinking this day wouldn't be my day cause i had a bad start for the most part ;d   Well now im going to be angry the rest of the day lol because 2nd prize was \$900 ;O

The single digit numbers will be back.....

It's been choppy as hell since May 9th on the low end.  Prior to that,  there was a run when a single dgit was drawn for 10 straight days. Runs like that for single digit numbers aren't that uncommon.  Now on the high end of the five numbers, 13 out of the last 14 drawings has seen a number in the thirties.

If you dont mind me asking, and if you do, I'll completely understand, approximately how many Take5 tix do you buy in a week?  I'm averaging about 10 to 12 bucks a week.  Since April 10th of 2009, I've won 87 FP's. I've also won a total of approx \$260 on 13 third place winning tickets.  I **think** that's above average, but I dont really know if it is or not.  Also, do you have a personal set of numbers you always play?  I dont do that, and I rarely ask for a QP.  Thanks...
