It makes reasonable sense that Powerball chose Universal Studios to host their drawing. Universal Studios and its' competitors are built on a foundation of making the Unreal look Real. The art of deception is one of the key ingredients in their CGI films. It's the perfect marriage of an industry that desperately needs this kind of technology and an industry that already has had decades to perfect it.

We would not be surprised if Powerball and Universal Studios were already using CGI and their Green Screen technique to plug-in a live person and play for the public a possible fake, realistic looking CGI drawing machines. It's not beyond the realm of possibility. We'll have to watch more of their drawings to see every little nuance in the process. Something about those drawings just doesn't sit quite right with us... there's just something that seems... off... you know?

but holy macrell, that's a good point. Even the space station might have been a better choice of place to run the draws.

The drawings actually look fake if you ask me. It's a computerized power pick which I don't like at all and this past drawing, it seemed as though the host ran out of time and they sped it up then went off the air.. Take a look at the video to see for yourself. I have to agree that something truly is not quite right about it.

IF they were going to fake things, they wouldn't alert the public by claiming the drawings were taking place in the kingdom of faked graphics/video, and they wouldn't fakely generate the power play number with a faked computer.

Woudn't it be cool if the Terminator picked the numbers? Or maybe they could have a drawing in Jurassic Park with T-Rex eating 5 people with numbers on their white tee shirts and 1 wearing a red one. Eek!

It would be so nice if folks got their facts straight before posting this BS.

First, Powerball DID NOT 'choose' Universal Studios. I won't go into details here.

Second, what could they POSSIBLY gain by a 'deception' ? The games are won (or not) at the same rate - have been for years, so get back to me if the Jackpot is won on, say, 10 nonsecutive drawings in-a-row, or if it goes 6 months or a year without getting hit.

Seriously - what would be the purpose of doing anything you are 'alleging' ?
