I for one don't believe in karma...hell I have always done the right thing regarding matters like this and I have never won anything of significance for my honesty. However, on one occasion, I asked my brother to buy me A CASL ticket with the maximum advance play (20) with numbers I provided him to play. Well the clerk (God bless her soul) printed out 8 tickets all with the same numbers I had requested my brother to play for me for 20 draws each. Doing the math, that would have cost me $160 bucks. My brother was a bit perplexed, but since he had never played the game like that, he just asked the clerk why she was handing him so many tickets. She said the CA lottery had a special promotion going on...so my brother said cool. Well, when my brother handed her a $20 (because he had initially thought 1 play times 20 draws equals $20 bucks), she rings up the cash register and pulls out $12 and hands it to my brother. My brother was puzzled as he turned to walk out the store. As he is walking out, he looks at the tickets and realized they were all the same numbers each for 20 draws. He comtemplated turning back to make the clerk aware of her mistake (two for that matter), but thought better of it and continued on out the store.
Well the folks of the karma school would say that nothing good should come of that...THINK AGAIN karmites! Those tickets all matched 2 or 3 numbers plus the mega ball for a $21 win. Sure you say that is chump change...but how quickly you forget that that is $21 x 8 tickets...for a total over $160!
My brother was not stupid enough to go back to the same store to collect the winnings, and we have been funding our lottery playing from that pot of winnings for quite a few months (yeah we don't buy a whole bunch of tickets for just one draw).
Also I figure that we are in the percentage of people who experienced a loss in the last presidential election, so I feel like we have paid our dues to society...but we as a nation will be paying for the debt the nation is undertaking with this massive government spending bill...so our time to hit the jackpot had better come fast! Hopefully, we will weather the storm over the next 4 years when we can install a presidential leader and team that can get America back on the right track. I just don't think a socialist agenda is the right track.
