U can't buy a lottery ticket on the same day?  is that true or false?Smile

The lottery machines are awfully fast. maybe by kiloseconds.

right numbers maybe wrong on the day of?  sounds weird.

One kilosecond = 16.6 minutes.  Not fast at all!

Keep in mind there are few absolutes here because the forum is world wide.

For most lottery players, they can purchase tickets within minutes of the draw though that may be 15 to 60 minutes depending on the lottery.

I can imagine there may still be a lottery in some poor country that distributes pre-numbered tickets that have stubs to be transported to a drum for a hand drawing 24 hours later.

The advice in the book likely relates to the Pick-3 and Pick-4 where numbers can be removed from play if too many people play them.   If you wait to play your favorite number might not be available on the day everyone's prediction says to play it.

With the larger games, there is always the problem of the lottery machine being broken with no time to go somewhere else, then what can you do?

The idea is not to miss out on getting to play your numbers by not allowing enough time if something goes wrong.
