Form a blind trust
Inform lottery official that you are claiming anonymously

In the state I live in they will let you claim prize anonymously.
Even in the states that do allow winners to remain anonymous, they still publish name of the store where the ticket was sold and the location. And the name of the winner becomes public record after the ticket is validated so even there it's not fully anonymous. While everything you've suggested it sound advice, I wouldn't wait too long to validate the ticket because after a few weeks the store owner might believe the player didn't know they had the winning ticket and might start checking surveillance tapes believing the prize might go unclaimed.

There are people on this site that believe they should only purchase their Powerball and Mega Millions tickets in states that allow anonymity like it's a foregone conclusion they will eventually overcome odds of more than !75 million to one and hit the jackpot.

I didn't imply anything. You said you'd seen conflicting advice, at least some of which came from the internet, and that you guessed it "depends on what advice you are willing to go with."
I offered my internet advice, and then simply pointed out that there's a better option than choosing between differing advice found on the internet.
