I don't know all of them, but here's the ones I have been playing.

Quick 50s: ($1) Meh.  Bad odds and small prizes.  I like that there are so many 50 dollar prizes, but I have yet to win them and I must have bought about thirty of them.  If I win, it's the one dollar prizes, which is hardly worth it.

500s fury: ($2) It was tempting at the time because of all the 500 dollar prizes (largest prize you can claim at the store), but based on a little math, I've concluded that out of ten stores, there is only one 500 dollar prize.  And the only other prize is a measly 10 thou (one which has been claimed, leaving only one left).

Wild Time mania ($5) These have decent odds (1 out of 3.84) and are fun to boot.  Top prize is 300,000 (4 left) and there are still 150 of the thousand dollar prizes left.  There's also 500 (less than 100 left), 100 (over 2500) 60, 30 down to 5.  I've bought 5 of these tickets and got two break even prizes (5 bucks) which with my luck is a good thing.  Game play is also pretty fun, giving several ways to win and many areas to scratch off.  I think I like this one.

Wild Time fever: ($2) Only bought a couple of these and with no luck.  Top prize of 30,000 (3 left) and it goes down to 100, 60, 48, 20 all the way to breakeven.  I do like them though.  Kind of like a cheaper WTM and offers some nice 3rd and 4th prizes.

S'more cash: ($1) Originally, there were 5 thousand dollar prizes, but I think that moved down to 3.  Like quick 50s, crappy odds of getting a breakeven alone, but I did happen to win 2 bucks on one.  Still, I think I'm done with the 1 dollar instant tickets.  Might as well go for the ones with better odds and higher prizes.

So, if anyone else from Michigan has opinions or what ever about certain scratch tickets here, please post them.

I know someone in this area that just got 55 $1 scratchers for his birthday and he scratched all of them off and did NOT get Anything at all!  Not even one with a dollar back.  All 55 lost!

I told this story to a clerk and the clerk told me that an 83 year old woman recently came in with $100 in scratchers on her birthday and she only got $13 from $100 of tickets.

I don't know where you buy tickets but you should try buying them in Coldwater or Metro Detroit.  You cant win in many other places.  If you cant buy scratchers in those places I suggest you go with the online games and pick your own numbers.

I guess Michigan isn't the best state for scratchers then.  No wonder I have had such rotten luck with them, even in metro detroit.

Do you read the news on the Official MSL website?  Did you notice that over the last couple of months that Coldwater has had way more top prize winning scratch tickets than a town that size should probably have??

It is sort of like after someone from the Grand Rapids area got appointed to the state lottery commish's seat that shortly after  it started raining winners in the Grand Rapids area  (Party World in Commstock Park for one example)

I'm probably missing it, but all I see on the press releases are winners from the metro detroit area, which isn't surprising when you consider that it's the most populated area in Michigan.

Okay, a few more, some of these are new.

            For $1

-Get 50: (new) Same prize amounts as quick 50, but these ones are not as common as the other and have a few more 50 dollar prizes.  Also, instead of getting 3 like prize amounts, you have to match one prize amount with 4 others (of course if you see a 50, you get that automatically).  I like it better, but haven't won anything good off them (then again, I only bought 1)

-Uno Dos Scratch: Probably the best 1 dollar scratcher, though a few months old.  There's still 2 top 2000 prizes left and the odds are under 6.  It's also simple to understand (you just need to get a 1 or a 2 under a prize amount to win).

-Dollar doubler: HORRIBLE odds at over 7, but no breakeven prizes.  If you win, you are going to get at least 2 bucks.  I haven't played it, but it looks simple enough.  You just get 3 like prize amounts (or 2 plus a dollar sign to get double) and you win.  Bad thing, only one top prize left (2000).

            For $2

-Cashwords: It keeps coming back under new formats.  Though it has the highest top prize of any 2 dollar michigan scratcher (35000), it is a pain to figure out if you won anything.  You scratch out the call letters and have to match all the words in the crossword puzzle to win.  If you get 10 matching words, you win the top prize.  9 will get you 1000, then 100, 50, 25, 10, 5, 2 (you must match at least 3 to win anything).  Most I won was 5 dollars.

-Wild time blast: Just another wild time fever.  Simple number matching game, with double and triple prizes.  Top prize is a nice 30000.

            For $10

-Million Dollar Megaplay: It was even advertised with a parrot squaking "Most million dollar prizes ever!".  I think it had 11 one million dollar prizes (8 left) and over 150 10000.  There's also a crapload of 100 and 50 dollar prizes, all the way down to 15 dollars, but the odds are 4.7 (same as a two dollar scratcher).  Game play is similar to wild time mania with 3 different areas to scratch.   Though I can't get myself to spend 10 dollars on a scratchoff ticket, I was tempted by this one.

Basically, I'm trying NOT to play scratchers because I have had no luck with them, but if I must play, I would play the one dollar ones.  Only every now or then would I buy a 5 or 10 dollar one.

The population argument has been hashed and rehashed and the bottum line is that this area of the state has as much population as the biggest three Detroit suburbs but we dont win up here.  If you look at wins per 100,000 population you will see how unbalanced the winners actually are.  Southwest Michigan may have half of the states population but they have 85% to 90% of the winners.

Well, they have come up with some better 1 dollar scratchers with better prizes and slightly better odds.

The newest one has a 3000 dollar top prize.  Tommorow, a new one is going to be issued that offers a 5000 top prize!  While I try to avoid scratchers, at least the one dollar ones are cheap and fun.  Plus, who knows?

55 losing tickets? That's five entries into the Lottery's Instant Replay drawing and a chance at $1,000,000.
