You know.... this is such a cool topic! We need more like this to keep the enthusiasm, thx..petergrfn :)
I'll never forget...
It was 1984...summer... I was driving through a subdivision in Madison Hts. MI; single at the time, thinking to myself, no one else in the car with me, I just said... man... you know... all I would need is 10mils.... ten million dollars, that's it!!! I thought if I had that much cash, I'd be all set, and all right. I thought about more & less, but ten mils net seem to solve many things.
Then, I somehow stumbled upon Gail Howard. She had a brief info on Lotteries. I sent away for it, picked apart, tried to understand the meaning of what she said. And Boy Oh Boy... that was it. I thought I had the answer to the jackpot. Back then I was single, not much bills, so I decided to put her stuff to the test. Oh My.. I was wheeling 16...18.. sometimes 22 numbers.... with no end in sight. lol... lol.... My sister would ask me... hey.. so, um.... how much are you spending in the lotto game?? My reply was... ahhh...$40.00, $60.00, $30.00. LoL.... I thought her eyes.. were going to pop out of her head!! lol
NOTE: Back in those days... it was only a test. A test, to see if Gail Howard's Stuff works. As Big John Says... "You don't hit the numbers...The Numbers Hit You" That is so true Big John... That is so true.... So... after losing my cash with close wins.. but no wins.. I was labeled as a Big Spender with no money...in my sis's eyes.
Later on, I bought Gail Howard's Software, and... I purchased Mike Walters windows program later, also. Just to see what's up! I got my hands on everything I could find about this stuff... Cause I was thirsty. I couldn't get Enough. Sort of like Sex with a beautiful woman :) Lotto gurus such as Robert Serotic, Gail Howard, and Steve Player helped with much of my thinking; not only number selection, but cost budgeting as well.
In Fact, Robert was one of the pioneers that help create Versa Bet Software & JPL Computers. Don't know what happened to him, but he was very helpful in my insight. In fact, I used one of his wheeling programs that helped me pay for Gail Howard's software on my ex-wife's credit card. It's too bad she was never into lottery like me.
Anyhow, I'm not as thirsty to hit the Jackpot as before, don't get me wrong.. I'd love to see a jackpot win for myself. I'm also glad I found Todd's Lottery Post, because this is such a great hobby to me. I don't spend as much as in the early days, I'm more seasoned, to wait, for the right time to play a string of nums, and hope Lady Luck will be there for me to greet me with a new Jackpot just for me :)
