How would you rank yourself in your knowledge of the lottery games you play?

10 = great down to 1 = poor.

Sometimes I come to Lp and I find it difficult to find something stimulating to read.

I was wondering how everyone would rank themselve in knowledge about playing the lottery.

    I'm better than average, but I would never say I was great.

      U have to win more than you spend to be great.

      I think I am progressing nicely so I'll give myself a 9.

        Knowledge of the lottery and winning the lottery are two different things. I think I am very knowledgeable about the lottery games I play, so I rated myself high. But I am not very good a winning...so far. I don't think that I would rate myself low because of that, since your first post said: "How would you rank yourself in your knowledge of the lottery games you play?"

          Chances are good that unless they've won a jackpot most lottery players have spent more than they've won.    Does this means most lottery players don't know much about the lotteries they play or are the odds of winning such that states will always take in more money than they payout?

            I'm with ThatScaryChick and RJOh.

            Knowledge of the game and personal results are two separate things.

            If you'd want to call it IQ, and if we're talking PB and MM, concsidering odds of 176 million or 195 million to one, I'd say that the "lotto IQ" would drop with each additional dollar spent on the same game.

            The "lotto IQ" would also drop with the belief that a system to beat lotto exists, or that if there was such a system the game would still be offered to be played.

            Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

            Lep

            There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

              When I posted my reply, I sure wasn't talking about how much I've won.

                      I love matching my wits against the lottery commission. I spend time studying the games I play so I notice certain things that the casual player may not notice and cash in on. Have I won a jackpot? Still working on it. As far as I am concerned, finding the right combination is the fun part. Winning the jackpot is the payoff for all of the hard work and tenacity of working and finding the right combination at the right time.

                          I rated myself 10 because I know enough about the games I play to realize I probably won't hit a jackpot.
