You haven't won yet because you don't deserve it.
Talking about trusts and investments and making your money work
for you, it just means that you'd loaf around and live in idleness
and degeneracy and wanton luxury.  The world doesn't need any more
of those kinds of riffraff living out their days in anonymous leisure.
A beach bum sipping margaritas and checking their investments online
on their laptops on the front porch overlooking a million dollar view
of the shoreline, yea...we need more people like that.

People win because of pure luck. There's no god picking the winners because they deserve it.

Guess I touched a nerve.  If I recall correctly, you stated hooking up with
high-priced prostitutes as one of your goals for winning the lotto.
I was referring to people like you, alemamba.

Why don't you show us how it's done.

How can he show anyone how it's done when he's no more deserving than anyone else.

It's nice to complain without a solution. But it doesn't make sense.

Lazy people will always be that way.....so?

                I don't get your point.

But the LP is a watering hole for lottery players who enjoy sharing ideas.  Most of us are arm chair warriors. So?...

It's what makes this place fun !

You haven't won yet because you don't deserve it.

And what gives you the right to decide who deserves to win?

Talking about trusts and investments and making your money work

I don't know about others, but after having been in the work force for over 40 years, the thought of winning and living off the $$ that is made from the investments that I would make, sure outweighs the 8-12 hours a day that I have been working for the last 40 years.

Sorry to disappoint you, but the thought of being able to sit on the beach, sipping a mararita as you state, would be a pleasure that most if not all would enjoy.  Just because a person wins the lottery, it doesn't mean that the person would live every day of their life in that style.  For me, that lifestyle would last all of 4-5 months to enjoy time with the family, to be able to go places that have only been dreamt of.  After that, who is to say that I or anyone else would end up a beach bum.  True, I would have a better home here in the USA and I would have a nice home in the country that my wife is from as well.

There is one thing that you have missed out on tho.  A winner, no matter what they do with the winnings or how they live, will still be putting $$ into the enonomy and would therefore be helping others with jobs and income.

PPPPFFFFFF. What's wrong with that? Everyone with money in LA do that. And no, you didn't touch my nerve. I just wanted to point out that your precious Jewish carpernter doesn't do a thing to pick a winner. And I guess the Cosmic Will (if it exists) has better thing to do than picking a lottery winner.

Still, interesting coincidences happen. I can't explain how.

P.S. And if I win, I'd help homeless veterans. I am a vet and I realized that there are really unfortunate vets out there. Still, I would have no idea what to do with the money for a while if I win, other than making a nest egg. It's not like you can jump into charity activity from day one.

I disagree. I think the reason most people haven't won the lottery, is because they haven't picked the right numbers.

Ok? So who are you to decide who deserves it? Nobody. That's who. You have no more say in saying who deserves winning the lottery and who doesn't than anyone else. So you start a thread about it? Ooooooooooooooook. That makes sense.Roll Eyes
