Glad you finally got it. Let's get some results!

I think there still is a problem.

0,1,2,7,8 does not produce 3 winners from last 5 draws.

    Hi Carbob:

    Using your set of past draws I get for a 5day model the following:

    Enter the number of days back you want to go to determine the model
    Choose a number less than or equal to 50
    5

    Best Model -> 1-2-3-4-8

    Best Model -> 1-2-3-6-8

    Best Model -> 1-3-4-6-8

    Best Model -> 1-3-6-8-9

    Best Model -> 3-4-6-8-9

    Wheeling with these models would have produced
    3 winners over the past 5 draws

    Something is very wrong. Please check that your download is correct. Also when you save the draw file, make sure you save it as ANSI text. This is the option under Encoding when you click on Save.

      I re-install, now I'm showing what you have. Best, I've found , so far.

        Not knocking this method at all (I actually like it a lot!), but has anyone yet tested this method to see if playing the best wheel produces winners going forward? It's obvious to say what would have produced a lot of winners, but how's it doing at actually allowing you to predict winners? Thanks for the download jayemmar. As soon as I can get my draw file together, I'll start a little testing of my own.

              Shawn:

              You raise some very good points here, and I'll try to address them.

              but has anyone yet tested this method to see if playing the best wheel produces winners going forward? It's obvious to say what would have produced a lot of winners, but how's it doing at actually allowing you to predict winners?

              This program was never offered as one that was known and tested to give winners. The whole purpose of offering this program was to get others involved to see if there's a way to produce winners by determining which model to use, when to use it, and how long to use it for.

              The most interesting aspect of this modeling methodology is the fact that no matter which set of 50 draws you takthe program will always come up with an Nday model, which always shows a profit for the N that was selected.

              Some questions to answer are:

              If we take the 25day model, will it still produce enough winners over the next 25 days to show a profit?

              If we take one of the 5day models, will it deliver enough winners over the next, say, 30 days to make a profit?

              etc.etc.

              We need a lot of tinkering and testing here.

                  It does not work at all on my WinXP computer, when I click on it, a DOS window opens and closes very fast and nothing else happens, at least ClamWin didn't detect a virus in it.

                    Hi Lantern:

                    I haven't a clue as to what may be wrong. I'm also running XP, and everything works fine. Are you certain that your draw file is correct and that it is saved as an ANSI text file called drawsP3.txt? Try copying and pasting the sample draw set that I posted here and see if that works.

                    Other than that maybe another member can offer some help.

                      What draw file?

                      This is all that happens:

                      I click on the Exe program, it very fast opens a small DOS window and before I can see what is on the window, it closes right away.

                      So other than that, nothing happens.

                      I wonder if it has something to do with my Pc's security measures.

                      Ion's programs are also DOS and they work, so it might have to do with the program's code.

                      Never mind, I can't over-ride my Pc's security anyway as it might be in too many levels and I don't know which part might be doing this, since it works for others it might be that.

                        LANTERN - the same thing happened to me. I originally thought I had downloaded the file and it had an extension on it like .exe.htm and I removed the htm and ran the file and it opened a DOS window and closed really fast.

                        I then went back to the link and clicked on the file picture and another screen came up and I was able to download the actual file from there.

                        Hope this helps.

                          Mr. Fernando

                          i think it not to do with your Pc's security measures, it deal with dos / command prompt environment, so in order to see the error message click run then type CMD then after landed on dos prompt go to the folder
                          c:\p3 and type the program

                          the OS close the program because you run in windows environment and error mesage
                          error in opening drawsP3.txt not showing, and i think running on dos prompt environment will help or just add file drawsP3.txt  in the same folder

                          another trick using this program is we can run 1 to 50 programs to find "best model" (1 to 50 days)

                          well good luck
