We all hear about doubles, triples, and even quads.

But septuples?  That's when you have seven of the same number.

It almost happened yesterday in Quebec, when the Extra drawing produced 0-2-0-0-0-0-0.  (Extra is a seven-digit numbers add-on game.)

A little more info about "tuples".  Here is a list of some common numbers and their corresponding terminology:

1 – single / singleton
2 – pair / double / doublet
3 – triple / triplet
4 – quad / quadruple
5 – quintuple / pentuple
6 – sextuple / hextuple
7 – septuple
8 – octuple
9 – nonuple
10 – decuple
11 – undecuple / hendecuple
12 – duodecuple
100 – centuple

How does the extra add on game apply?

Thank you, Todd!  I'll try to store that in my memory bank and hopefully I can retrieve it when the time comes.

        Thanks again.
