Hello all, been an avid scratcher for years now. Always played WV lottery, occasionally SC and NC. Most recently gotten into the PA lottery as it is only five mins down the road. Any ways, ive been trying to devise a new plan for scratching, let me know which one sounds like the better bet. I could....

A.) Buy and save up scratchers all month to a set amount of money, (usually in strings of 4 or 5 for the $5 and $10 dollar games) and designate one day a month to do all the scratching. This would be mostly to control my spending. Or i could...

B.) Go to the lottery vending machine at a time during the day when not many other ppl are scratching, and buy a single ticket and scratch it right then, if its a winner then stop that game and move on to another, OR if its a loser buy another one or two till i hit a winner.

PA has a $25 scratcher out now id like to try, but i dont really want to have to buy a few just to hit a winner that isnt guranteed to hit big. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Well i went yesterday and tried out the buy one at a time, scratch it, see the results and then play accordingly. Worked out pretty well, came out 45 ahead for the morning. Not too shabby. The machine i get my tickets from was out of the new 5 dollar bingo scratchers i wanted to play. I bought one of the 25 scratchers and earned my money back on it, then stupidly bought another. When i was looking at the second ticket i saw a black mark at the bottom of the ticket, and i remember reading on here that sometimes winning tickets would have markings like that on the bottom, but no such luck. Lost 25 on that ticket, big gamble and big loss.
