The sum of a number is the 3 digits added together.
The shortsum is the least significant number of the sum.
The rootsum is the digits of the sum added together to get one digit.

Example 488
4+8+8 = 20 sum, 0 shortsum, 2 (2+0) rootsum

Thank you so much for the kind words, Divine Guidance.

How to use that info is debateable.  I like looking at the short sums because there are only 10 and they are all 22 numbers.   The root sums are not the same "length".  Mathematically, the short sums should hit every 10 draws, but there are programs that can show you which ones have skipped more than that.  Although I am getting tired of chasing "overdue" anything, it is still something to look at.

Good luck.
