Of the Powerball numbers matching any of the number of the Megamillions numbers the preceding day?

The closest it ever came to happening in the last 754 drawings was matching 3

    PB 07/27/05   01 04 10 13 29 +03
    MM 07/26/05  01 10 18 29 55 +08

    PB 07/19/03   14 29 30 34 48 +01
    MM 07/18/03   29 30 34 38 44 +39

    PB 05/10/03   01 02 06 10 20 +38
    MM 05/09/03   01 10 20 22 28 +39

It will be harder for the game with the larger matrix to match the smaller one because some of its numbers will be out of range. Since the format is the same still, the odds depend on what the smaller matrix is...

For the white balls only, see odds on back of Powerball betslip.
That will be the odds of matching a previous drawing for either other game.

For the Bonus Ball only: the odds of matching is 1 in 46.

This is to the best of my knowledge...If it's wrong please tell me.

SIDE NOTE: Mega is drawn with a tumbler and Powerball with an air blower, so them matching each other is sheer coincidence.

You could be right because it only happened once the other way round during the same period.

        MM 11/21/03   14 26 28 36 42 +14
        PB 11/19/03   16 26 36 42 47 +33

The question seems to be about repeating *some* of the numbers from the previous drawing. MM will never be able to match the 3 numbers that are only used in PB, but that doesn't have a major effect. Even when the PB result has one of those numbers it will be fairly unusual to have either (or both) of the others. All 5 will be in play about 75% of the time, and 4 will be in play about 95% of the time.

What does matter is the odds of drawing a number that did come up. In MM there will (usually) be 5 numbers out of 56 that match results from PB, compared to 5 of 59 for PB. When the first MM number is drawn, the 5 in 56 chance means there's an 8.9% chance it will match one of the PB numbers.  For PB it's 5 of 59, or 8.5%. If there isn't a match the 2nd number will have a slighly better chance of matching, at 5/55 (9.1%) and 5 of 58 (8.6%). That increase for each successive number is bigger for MM.
