I live in a holler surrounded by mountain ridges.
I was outside and heard the sound of an aluminum ladder in the woods up one of the ridges. Through the trees I could see a tall, skinny, shabbily dressed man climbing the ladder against a tree. I couldn't see his face. He had a half drawn bow and arrow in his hand. His right leg was shaking uncontrollably as he climbed the ladder.
I knew he was going to shoot the arrow at me when he reached the top of the ladder. I didn't have my gun on me and had to cross an open area below him to get to the house to get it. I had to decide quick if I could make it to the house and get my gun before he got to the top of the ladder and drew a bead on me or duck into the woods on the opposite ridge. That was it.
Numbers and/or interpretation appreciated.
