I always check my tickets online.  As I find numbers that I have, I circle them.  At the end of the process, I check the results and actually write the amount that I have won on the ticket itself.  I then check it at the scanner and hand it over to the clerk.  I have only had one clerk tell me that I didn't win with a ticket, but when I brought it to his attention that I "know" I did and brought his/her attention to the amount that was on the ticket, they stated that they read the ticket wrong and paid me the amount that was due.

With all the reports of clerk's stealing the money, I don't trust any of them.

I've never used a scanner as I've never came across one. I always check my tickets online.

I always double check my tickets and then make sure to put them in the litter bag that I always keep in my truck.

It's neater that way and then when the bag is full you can just throw it out the window.

rdgrnr is so funny,   But seriously I always relied on the scanner,  but now that I have been made aware of this; I'll be more careful. Thanks!
