    Yup, it got banned.

Left my home in Norfolk Virginia

      California on my mind

I straddled that Greyhound rollin' outta Raleigh

      On across Caroline

We stopped in Charlotte, we bypassed Rockville

We never was a minute late

90 miles out of Atlanta by sundown

      Rollin' cross the Georgia state

Right away I bought me a thru-train ticket

      Right across Mississippi please

I was on that midnight flyer out of Birmingham

      Smokin' in to New Orleans

Somebody help me get out of Looziana

Help me get to Houston town

There are some folks who care a little 'bout me

And they won't let the poor boy down

Workin' on a T-Bone Steak Ala Carte

Flyin' over to the Golden State

Pilot called and said thirteen minutes

We'll be landing at the terminal gate

Slow down chariot, come down easy

      Taxi to the terminal zone

Cut your engines and cool your wings

And let me make it to the telephone

Los angeles get me Norfolk Virginia

Nine one four Ten oh nine

Tell the folks back home this is the Promised Land callin'

And the poor boy's on the line.

I have to have quiet when I fill out my playslips, otherwise I can't concentrate.  LOL  I mess up enough slips as it is!  But this is a fun topic, so if I was going to listen to music it would be:

No One Like You - Scorpions

Rev On The Red Line - Foreigner

              Kryptonite - 3 Doors Down

Not necessarily money songs, except for Rev On The Red Line ("you've got to lose a few 'til the stakes get high"), but I think they'd all fit the bill.

Here is the true lottery music.  It will change depending on what is on the home page or whatever page you decide to use.

                  FIRST, go here:
                  C O D E O R G A N:

THEN, paste in one of the Lottery Post webpages.
You can use any URL, this is the LP home page.

Then click the PLAY button.  Of course
                  make sure sound is on.

                            (Joe South)

Oh, the games people play now,
Every night and every day now
Never meaning what they say now,
                            Never saying what they mean.

They just wile away the hours,
                            In their ivory towers
'Til they're covered up with flowers,
In the back of a black limousine.

La da da, da da da, da da
La da da, da da da, da dee

                            And the games people play.

Oh, we make one another cry,
Break our heart when we say goodbye
Cross our hearts and we hope to die
Bet the other was to blame.

Neither one ever give an inch
So we gaze at our eight by ten
Thinking 'bout the things that might of been
And its a dirty rotten shame.

For your pride and your vanity

Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any.

                            Lep

There is one and only one 'proven' system, and that is to book the action. No matter the game, let the players pick their own losers.

I'm just an old man now covered with scars

Most of 'em I got fightin' in them redneck bars

And a bunch of tattoos that Squinch put on me

He covered up the ones I got years ago

Back in prison when I was just Dave Coe

                              And I wasn't famous then

                              And I wasn't free

I grew up in a rundown 3 room shack

At the foot of the hill by the railroad track

                              Where decent folk don't go

                              When the sun goes down

My daddy worked at the Goodyear Rubber Company

                              And he worked on cars

                              My mama went to church

And my daddy went to bars

Most people called it the hillbilly part of town

                              I had a 55 Chevy when I was fifteen

I painted it red and I was still green

Hell, I couldn't afford to buy gas

I had a 410 rifle and a Bowie knife too

Redman tobacco that I liked to chew

We'd count the cars as the trains went past

If that ain't country I'll kiss your @ss

                              If that ain't country

                              It'll hair lip the Pope

                              If that ain't country

                              It's a dam good joke

I been on the Grand Ole Opry

                              And I know Johnny Cash

                              And if he ain't country

                              I'll kiss your @ss

One of my sisters was a lady of the night

Then one day she saw the light

Now she don't do those things she used to do

She never made the funeral when my daddy died

I said I'd forgive her but I guess I lied

Cuz there ain't no way to hide the way I feel

There was 50 holes in that old tin roof

Me and my family was livin' proof

Everybody called us just poor white trash

And if that ain't country I'll kiss your @ss
