I want to check my selected numbers against past draws.

You can do this on some state's websites but you have to do each line of numbers one by one.

  • So just a program with 2 'databases' (text files). One with my selected numbers and one with past draws, and the program would just compare the two files and look for matches or close matches and output the matching line and the number of matching lines and 2 of X or 4 of X etc....

If anyone could create this, or point me to a program that already does this, I would really appreciate it. Star

P.S. We could discuss compensation for your time if it will take awhile to throw this together. Also, if it could be compatible with all lottery games.. i.e. pick3,pick4, cash5... etc.

Luck is the residue of design.

    Have you investigated any of the Lottery Programs on the Market (Like: LottoBuster)?

    A mind once stretched by a new idea never returns to its original dimensions!

      Almost any good commercial lottery software will do what you want and best of all most offer a free trial period before you buy.  LottoPro will do that.

      If you're considering having someone code such a program for you, you might want to consider adding a few extra features like comparing a file with a group of numbers, payout amounts, having dates in all the files so you can tell how far back a match or hit happened and etc.  Once someone starting coding a program, there's no end to the list of improvements you might want.

        It's very easy to obtain this verify in Excel. I have this program which compare N variants with a database of game. But  here I can't post any file.

        Do you check your variants only with the last draw, or with all the past draws for the past results?

            If you are checking PowerBall or MegaMillions you can check five lines at a time at USAMega and you can check them with the total history of either game.

              i'd like to check it against the entire draw history of the game.

              So, I had my account blocked for my intention to post a link with an image but I read the rules and now I konow what the fact works.

              Until now, you can do this:

              in a sheet put in cols A-F the draws history of game

              in cols J-O put the variants which you want to play.

              Open a macro and put the following code:

              Sub Macro1()
              '
              ' Macro1 Macro
              ' Macro recorded 2/6/2010 by -/-
              '
              ' Keyboard Shortcut: Ctrl+m
              '
                  Dim a(6) As Integer
                  Range(Cells(2, 17), Cells(1000, 22)).Clear

                  For i = 1 To 60000
                      If IsEmpty(Cells(i, 10)) = True Then
                          islast0 = i - 1
                          Exit For
                      End If
                  Next i
                  For i = 1 To 60000
                      If IsEmpty(Cells(i, 1)) = True Then
                          islast1 = i - 1
                          Exit For
                      End If
                  Next i

                  For i = 2 To islast0
                      For k = 1 To 6
                          a(k) = 0
                      Next k
                      For i1 = 1 To islast1
                          cont = 0
                          For j1 = 1 To 6
                              For j = 10 To 15
                                  If Cells(i, j) = Cells(i1, j1) Then cont = cont + 1
                              Next j
                          Next j1
                          a(cont) = a(cont) + 1
                      Next i1
                      For k = 1 To 6
                          Cells(i, k + 16) = a(k)
                      Next k
                  Next i
              End Sub

              Return in Sheet and press CTRL and m and in cold Q-W will appear for each variants the results of cheching, how many hits 1, 2, 3, ..., 6.

              I want to give you this file but I don't know how can I post a link to it, and I fear to block my account again.

              So, if you have something not clear, put me your asks!
